Hawthorn Club Statement
"Earlier this year the Hawthorn Football Club engaged external First Nations consultants to liaise with current and former First Nations players and staff to learn more about their experience at the club.
"This important work has raised disturbing historical allegations that require further investigation. Upon learning of these allegations, the club immediately engaged AFL Integrity as is appropriate.
"The club will continue to provide support to those who have participated in this process, and their wellbeing remains our priority.
"While the process indicated the current environment at the club is culturally safe, it also recommended that some of the club’s current First Nations training and development programs should continue to be strengthened.
"The club places the best interests and welfare of our players and staff as our number one priority.
"Given the matters raised are confidential, the club will not provide any further comment at this time."

Check this, Carlton got the Brownlow and Coleman medalists but didn’t make the finals - haha sucked in Blues (pretenders
and 5 all-australians
#vicbias
*three. But whatever.
Carlton suffer because their worst eight players are horrible. Their best 8-10 are as good as any side in the league.

Lions club statement says Fagan taking a leave of absence to cooperate with the AFL Integrity Unit. Says he wasn't consulted as part of the review.

Anyway.. got the tele on AFL 360 and I do like the hype and the celebration ... but you get a chance every year.
Think I'm being a bit churlish but ...
It's not the Olympics, or FIFA WC, or RWC where you get one shot every four years.
Great achievement, and it's cool every year.
But the Aussie Roolz states do hype it up I reckon
-
Geelong with a dominant first half. Inside 50s, ruck taps, contested possessions and getting run off halfback is where they are killing them.
-
@ACT-Crusader not feeling so bad about what happened to the lions last weekend
Geelong are playing fucking great
-
Sydney getting reamed.

Swans players look dejected

Incredible performance by Geelong. 16 in a row is very hard to argue with
Huge credit to their coaching staff who revamped how the played. It blows my mind how long tenured AFL coaches can suddenly change their philosophy.
I actually thought Joel selwood should have won the norm Smith. A warrior I admire in the Hodge mold
-
turns out my dislike of Geelong is basically just the fact i can't stand Dangerfield and Cameron
Joel Selwood appears to be an absolutely first class human being.
-
Geelong been knocking on the door for quite some time but couldn’t quite go the extra step when it came to finals .
I thought that was the destiny of this group tbh , but perseverance pays off in the end . This years side had a more ruthless look to it .
-
@mariner4life had the chance to meet Hawkins and Selwood and both are good fellas.
I hated how Selwood played and the constant ducking and feigning for free kicks. He used to be a massive whinger too. Plus the whole Geelong v Saints rivalry from 10 years ago and the Chris Scott v Ross Lyon thing.

yeah. ouch. As a neutral it was boring. As a swannies supporter it must have sucked
See the average winning margin of the past four grand finals is almost 12 goals.
