@Stargazer Bear in mind that Adam Julian is an old boy of Silverstream (if he is not then I am a bad reader of body language!) and although he is normally accurate and fair with his reports you can pick up little bits and pieces where those in the know can see his pleasure, without making it too obvious or going overboard, when Silverstream do something that pleases him!
The Wellington based and centred clubrugby.co.nz website is run by a bunch of rugby loving volunteers (of which Adam is a big part) and fill a huge void in the publicity given to rugby that used to be in the newspapers and radios but not there anymore. For that we are very grateful as we would be completely unaware that Wainuiomata HS might be playing St. Marys Development in a schoolgirls rugby match on a wet and wintry Wednesday night much less the score and usually a report of what happened if not for the efforts of Adam and his ilk.

Adam is also sort of heavily involved in the radio commentary of a club game that is carried on one of the Wellington stations every Saturday.

@Higgins Adam Julian now also writes many articles for the allblacks.com website. He has also done a magnificent job by researching all past and present Black Ferns, and writing their profiles for that website, similar to those written for all All Blacks.

I honestly don't know what to expect from this game.
Westlake unbeaten in the Harbour 1A comp, but losing most of their other matches.
Napier Boys, good but mixed results in the Super 8, but pretty dominant in other games.
At the beginning of the season, I said that they'd go further than Hasting Boys, but I didn't see them as a champions team.
The first bit proved to be correct; I hope to be wrong about the second.

Good attack from Westlake, a missed tackle from Napier allowing them to get close to the Napier try line. Napier defend well but give away a penalty.

    19 - 3 Napier

That Napier rolling maul is impressive. Imagine they've scored a fair few tries from that this season

@JK Yeah, quite a few. They have a good pack. I think their hooker is still year 12, but definitely a prospect.

It's been all Westlake the last 10 minutes, but Napier's defence has been excellent so far.

All Napier Boys need to do is not fall asleep and not take the foot off the throat.

Not sure whether the wind is a big factor in this game.

Another line-out steal from Gus Brown.

Pick and go, and reserve loosie George Manson scores another one for Napier!

    Cory Berkett converts

    33 - 3 Napier Boys'

The female commentator clearly doesn't know that Gus Brown used to be a lock.

Try to Westlake's Cole Jackson; converted. Napier's weak spot is their left winger, who can't catch a ball.

    40 - 10 Napier Boys'
