Swans v Dogs - 8 v 10. Only a game the difference and Dogs need to be able to remain in touch.
This was only 6 weeks ago. One is in the top 4 and the other is 8th and playing finals.

the reason i hate Carlton #264
Despite finishing 9th, they have 3 All Australians. Could the media suck this dogshit club off any harder?
Two decades and counting of ladder irrelevance, still more talked about than probably 14 other clubs (and not just to laugh at them like Essendon)
-
@mariner4life at least those 3 are actually good players. Problem with the media is half of them are Carlton supporters so love to talk about them.
Problem for Carlton is that their bottom 6-8 players aren’t that good. They’ve got 1 or 2 genuine stars, then 6-7 that are good to very good, but then not much chop after that. And that showed when they had injuries.
I thought the all-OZ team was pretty good. Always some unlucky players, but I didn’t think any of that 22 shouldn’t be there.
-
This is a great game.
-
Jack Riewoldt turning back the hands in this 4th quarter.
-
Great finish.
The Tiger fans would’ve been close to half in the stadium. Seemed to make a bigger roar when they scored.
But the final roar at the siren for the Lions win was big. Happy for Fagan.
-
YEEEESSSSS!!!!
What a fucking game.
I loved it and hated it in equal measure over the last 5 minutes
-
Kingy you Melbourne-centric flog fuck off.
Blaming 2 umpire calls.
Fuck off
-
Great game , afl is at its best when you get those types of contests with both sides attacking ,
as a tiger happy with the rebuild on the run in progress ,
I was expecting them to fall off a cliff , 6 player s in their first final, 3 as first year players have added something, they still have a lot of premiership players on the right side of 30 , maybe they aren’t quite done yet
-
@kiwiinmelb Tigers won't fall of a cliff, they still have quality players at younger ages. But that might have been their last chance at a flag with this group. They'll take a couple of years to come back up.
They most certainly aren't dropping right down the table though. Especially if you get Taranto.
-
Amazing game. Result overshadows those Riewoldt kicks late in the game. Ice cold. Seems Dusty was less than 80% fit. Neale with one hell of a game. Richmond weren’t clean enough all night it seemed as Dimmer admitted. Would love to see those definitive angles though.
-
That Neale tackle on Shai Bolton with 40 seconds to go was awesome. It looked like Bolton was about to breakthrough and set up something forward. Umpire swallowed his whistle because that was a clear holding the ball.
One of the better games by a midfielder in a final I have seen.

Neale was massive. Clearance after clearance, clean as a whistle. And that tackle was massive.
Yes, another 50/50 call that went the Tigers way, but lets focus on the behind that was a behind (fuck off Kingy)
Cameron had some incredible touches as well

It will be amazing if we can stay top eight while rebuilding. I didn't expect to win last night but early in the third quarter started getting excited, all the while knowing we wouldn't go any further in the finals series anyway.

if we get Sydney next week, i think we are a good chance. If it's Melbourne we'll get hammered.
-
@mariner4life I think it was the second highest clearances by an individual player in AFL finals history.
-
@antipodean from the premiership side we have already lost caddy , Houli , lambert , astbury , and now Edwards , only Edwards played last night as sub from that group , the young guys that have come in this year are starting to look really good ,
Jack and cotch are the two who might have one year left max ,
Then there is dusty , who knows what’s happening there , while it will hurt to see him running around in other colours , he is getting on and it frees up a lot of money. From a footy perspective and taking the emotion out , looking ahead it isn’t as bad as it sounds losing him now to free up 1.3 million off the cap .
The rest of the premiership group have a lot of footy left in them still , and some of those guys that were the young players are looking more like leaders .
I’m feeling more positive than I did earlier in the year .
-
This game definitely a step up in defensive pressure compared with last nights. Still an enthralling contest.
-
This is some game.
Swans up by a goal going into HT.
After HT the Dees kick 3 unanswered goals.
Then Swans kick the next 3 and now have al the momentum.
-
Swans up by 13 points and now Max Gawn nails one from 45m out.
