Canterbury B still hanging in there.
-
Yes Marshy ,Kalolo got rid of Christie as well
-
@Chris its a good contest ..12 players with Super Rugby experience in the Canterbury starting line up ..4 in the starting Harbour team with super rugby experience ..i think your doing your boys a diservice calling them a B team
-
He may have scored a try, but man Heinz is a bit of a handbrake for our attack with his very laboured pass and some dithering at the back.
I had to laugh during that first half when Romano had just thrown a massive harbour bridge pass, and the next ruck he pushes Heinz out of the way to make the pass from the base.
George Bell building nicely.

@ACT-Crusader George Bell is some player ,not case of if but when he wears a Black jersey
-
Congrats Canterbury but that was some effort from a seriously depleted starting Harbour XV team .
Plenty of ticker from a lot of guys who running around for their Dev team a couple of weeks ago -

I was trying to think of who he reminded me of and the Nth Auckland / Auckland hooker that played for the ABs against the B&IL came to mind - Derren Whitcombe. A no nonsense sort of a player that did the basics really well and could run in traffic. Unfortunate his career got cut short.

Canterbury will be happy with a bounus point win.
And able to bring 8 starting players back on Saturday.I'd be more than happy if they're back on Saturday ... and stay away on Sunday.
Opps

I would be interested to hear from some Cantabs in the know about Harford. Having only watched the highlights of this match and about 10 minutes of him on the field a couple of week ago when Burke was getting an HIA I have not seen much of him, but I like what I have seen so far.
Is he in danger of getting a Sader's spot? They are going to need some fresh blood at 10.
-
@Crazy-Horse Not a Cantab, but since none of the Cantabs here has replied and I watch almost all NPC games, I think I can answer. I don't think Harford is SR material; not yet anyway. By the way, I think the same about Ta$man's Campbell Parata. Adequate at NPC level (although Parata's goal kicking as been really off at times), but I can't see them in a NZ SR team. (Parata was in the Force's academy, last year, so may return there in 2023.)

Hartford is a good tradesman ok at NPC level but not SR level.
Lucas Cashmore is on the Crusaders radar and maybe an option although he is not getting game time for BOP.
That may not be a problem as Gardiner was selected on no NPC games.
Cashmore was involved in the Crusaders pre season games and did all the pre season training with them so would know the systems etc.
