Ranfurly Shield
-
@Hooroo One game, usually, although - like the game v Thames Valley, the home games are sometimes played outside the province's main centre (Wanaka instead of Dunedin).
Edit:
For example, Taranaki played its Heartland Ranfurly Shield games last year as two home games, but outside New Plymouth.
In Hawera against Whanganui and Tikorangi against Poverty Bay. -
FT: Otago 49 - 14 North Otago
Only watched the 2nd half, but it was a good game to watch. Not bad at all from the amateurs from North Otago. Always a great opportunity for the small Heartland provinces to take on the big brothers.
Also officated well. Rebecca Mahoney is progressing well as a ref; gradually taking on bigger games. She'll be our own Amy Perrett (Aussie ref, first female SR referee).

Part 3:
I wasn't aware of some of these controversies.

@mikedogz interesting but a bit whingy
By bit I assume you mean very.
I look forward to Richard doing a review of all 13 year eras of the Shield - he's going to be in for a shock.
I checked his Twitter, he's a Canes fan and he's complaining about how his province is treated. Irony.
