Bridge & Havili were both outstanding....
Well they stood out
At least one person got the double-entendre.
There was a double entendre?

Niggle stops at the final whistle.
Reece doesnβt.Probably the one thing I fucking hate in rugby players.
As J P De Villiers once said in an old-fashioned way: "I'll get every cheap shot that I can get in during the game, but once the final whistle goes, that's it. We are all gentlemen then."

QT does not look to be much more than a bash merchant with a not particularly good passing game.
After today, Havili looks to have the AB 12 position nailed on.
(In all seriousness, I thought his D today was really, really good)

I think Jordan answered any questions about his defence in this game. He was superb.
Taukei'aho carried 24 times. 33% more than anyone else in the Chiefs. Clearly the best hooker in New Zealand.
Goodhue was very accurate too.

I'm not looking for a bite, but I assumed he was off the field for most of the match after his HIA/injury. It was only when he did that one really good punt, and TJ pumped one out over him, that I realised he was on the field.

Missed 13% of tackles attempted. Equal third worst in the Crusaders.

I just thought his defence when he came back was really good. Agree rest of his play pretty average.
I didn't notice him so can't really comment.

Does he have any weaknesses? Line-outs seemed accurate, but a genuine question as I'm ignorant on front-row stuff.

If he were a tight-forward, that would be a compliment. But he isn't.

I'm as ignorant on front row stuff as any other attractive individual, but he looks superb all over the paddock. Can even throw into a lineout.

In true Fern tradition, I stand corrected.

Yep. I like his directness and motor. He'll be nailed-on 1st choice 2 at this rate.

Full disclosure: Stats aren't mine, I just selectively quote those that agree with my biases.

Razor's coaching of defensive ruck work & the breakdown in general is second to none, the Crusader's actions without the ball on defense is the reason I wanted him as All Black coach after Hansen departed in 2019. Wayne Smith was our latest defensive guru in NZ's golden run between 2010-2016 & ever since then we've been lacking an effective brickwall defense and innovative ruck & breakdown play - these are both areas that Razor has outstanding knowledge & expertise in. Ray can lead us back to WC glory.
Big credit also to the crusaders defensive coach Tamati Ellison, He has brought a hardness to the D line.
ESPN stated the Crusaders made 254 tackles to the Chiefs 114, as well as having just 35 percent possession.

Seems about right a hell of a defensive performance with those stats.

Grace esp., Havili, Jordan, and Barrett absolutely outstanding for the good guys. The odd touch of class from Mounga sealed the game.
For the filth, I think ST was awesome (as always) and Ross played himself into the ABs. Ross gave the Crusaders scrum the old, "How is your father?" when he was on. It wasn't the Chief's tight five that let them down, they matched the Crusaders.
After his impact, do you start Newell against the big boys?
