But they blew golden opportunities to win the League
i get that this is a great time to have a wee troll of Liverpool supporters, but i reckon stick to the bits with merit
Liverpool won 15 and drew 2 of their last 17 league games and dipped out by a point. Not sure there is too much else they could have done.
To not score in 3 finals points to something lacking in the way Klopp is approaching them
In the end slightly disappointing to have such a great season but only come away with the two trophies the big sides only really care about if they reach the semis.
Could be worse though.
Michael Owen said just after the final that "Liverpool are still the best team in Europe" - which I'm not sure I disagree with. I'd rather play City or Real Madrid than Liverpool, yet they hold the bigger trophies.
Michael Owen is also a bit of a deadshit
Not sure I can get on board with that when they haven't win their league in a couple of years, and lost another champs league
They are a very good and consistent team though.

Best team in Europe?
-
Lost a two goal lead to draw at Chelsea.
-
Couldn’t force a win at home to Chelsea despite having a man advantage for the entire second half.
-
Struggled against Spurs home and away. They were lucky to draw both.
-
Drew both games with City. Had lead twice at Anfield.
Klopp whinged about Courtois's man of the match performance.
Clearly he has a short memory

How did he get a gig on TV? Zero insight and personality. Although that seems to be the main requirement for a BT Sport "analyst"

He played a bit of football back in the day? Doesn't seem to project as one of the game's deep thinkers. But it's only football right? Lacks personality, that is the big thing

Did I miss something?
Liverpool 6/11 players …. And they came second? You’d have to conclude Klopp is shit then no?
Son …. Golden boot without a single penalty. Doesn’t make it.

@dogmeat that doesn't come as a surprise to anyone remotely aware of the largely unfettered migration of African and Middle Eastern males into a country that doesn't share a culture, language and opportunities?
I guess that's what they do on their days off from touting junkie Eiffel tower replica ornaments
-
Surprised. No.
Disappointed. YesFrench need to get their shit together before RWC & Olympics

It seems more about how much you can pay players now rather than transfer fees given Fredericks (and Rothwell from Blackburn) have come in on frees. Forest have bought Awoniyi, a striker from Germany who I saw a bit on the Bundesliga highlights, built like a fridge.
Meanwhile Gareth Bale looks like he is going to MLS and not Cardiff.
