The perimeter defence from the Mavs was superb. They crowded the key Suns players. Then add the shot making from Luka, Dinwiddie and Brunson (in the 2nd half) and the game was basically over by half way through the 2nd quarter.
Juicy matchup coming up with the Warriors. They will crowd the perimeter guys for the Warriors, but the Warriors are a better passing team than the Suns, so should be an intriguing series.
GP2 being out still is huge because he is a guy that can switch on to bigger players.

Well that was a shit game, but a glorious result for a number of reasons.
- we get to watch Luka a bunch more times this year
- we can stop calling CP3 the point God now that he's 3 &. 5 in Game 7s including losing the last 4. He's also the first player to lose 5 series up 2-0. Did I mention that he's a whining cheating bitch too? Pretty Harden-esq apathy today.
- Crowder played like he's supposed to, which is absolute shit
Dinwiddie was immense today. Brunson good in the 2nd, but they did this in spite of him, the Suns were already broken by then.
Good times

First shot Luka takes and those in the expensive seats are giving it to him.
Next one he hits from the same side and they are still chirping.
After he hits his 4th in a row, Luka is the one talking and there’s quiet from the sidelines.

@ACT-Crusader So close to a perfect slate!

So so good. Amazing they didn't throw doubles at him, force him to give the ball up early, especially when Brunson was cold.
Paul had 1 point through 3 quarters I see from that clip, which is especially amazing when you consider he's shooting > 50% for the series (as well as in this game)

With the 4 teams left I'll have to get on the Mavs train.
I actually like all 4 remaining teams which is nice. I'll also probably be on the Mavs, then Boston, and I can't split Miami or GSW, maybe GSW by a whisker

@voodoo As a 80s Lakers fan I can only hate the Celtics.
Fair play, good to maintain the rage over decades!
Reckon there wouldn't be a Laker fan out there though that wouldn't happily trade the entire Laker roster for Bostons !
Quality coaching, team play, consistent effort, first rate defense, decent guys.
Oh, and they're in the playoffs 😀
-
@voodoo To be perfectly honest, who I have cheered for in the 2000s was usually based on what players I liked, and whatever team Adams was playing for. Given the Mavs have won the least championships of the 4 remaining teams it is a no-brainer for me.

The great thing about the 4 teams left is that you can honestly say they are there without having an “easy” route.
Some say the Warriors did, but let’s not forget the Grizzlies have given it to the Warriors over the last 2 seasons.
Heat v Celtics - outside in offence vs iso plus drive & kick 3pt offence. Two very good defensive teams that have physicality on the wings. The superstar match ups of Jimmy & Bam vs Tatum & Brown will be good. But which supporting cast steps us - Kyle, Herro, Strus, Tucker vs Pritchard, White, Williams, Horford. Prediction: Heat in 6
Warriors v Mavs - there’s a real chance we could see a game where both teams score 130+. High powered offences but both teams do rely on their quite different defensive systems. The Mavs set out to get Luka in switches with CP3 so he could back him down and either force a double team or just power to the hole. Will they target Steph who is stronger than CP3 but will still be vulnerable. Warriors will get Steph and Poole in mismatches too. It will be a war of attrition series. Prediction: Warriors in 7

Is that who you want to win, or who you're predicting will win? Because I think Boston will be way too good for Miami, even without home court. Too many scorers and a much-improved defense that can easily shut down the more limited Heat.
I also have Mavs over GSW, not for any better reason than the team with the best guy usually gets up. I think Luka has gone to another level this year.

Patrick Beverly this morning got to live out every Ferners dream, got himself on TV for the sole purpose of slagging the fuck out of a far superior player
one he doesn't like
This was some fucking extreme hating. It was almost a thing of beauty.

He has such a big chip on his shoulder. Hated if he isn't in your team, loved if he is
