Great break from one of the Hastings' players, to no avail. He spills the ball in the tackle. It's half time.
Napier's left winger scores again! The conversion is good, and it's half time. (The Hastings game is about 4 minutes ahead now)
Half time:
St Pat's Silverstream 0 - 12 Hastings Boys'
St Pat's Wellington 0 - 29 Napier Boys'
-
Hastings Boys' under pressure now, near their try line. Boys not happy with some of the officiating.
An then ... a brilliant break from the Hastings Boys' left winger who scores a length-of-the-field try in the right corner! Awesome!
Napier Boys score again in the other game. One of the big boys, I think the LH prop. The conversion is good.
Hastings Boys' lead 19 - 0
Napier Boys' lead 36 - 0

What has been very noticeable in the Napier Boys' game is that their workrate and speed is so much higher than Town's. Add to that the difference in skills, and then you have a large part of the explanation for the score.
In the other game, Stream is working is really hard, just like Hastings. Handling errors and decision-making is the biggest difference.
I jinxed it before posting this. Big break from a Town player and they score their first try under the sticks.
36 - 7 Napier Boys'

It's over in the Hastings Boys' game. They had far less possession in the second half and were under pressure at times, but their defence was really good and Stream's ball handling was letting them down.
Still some time to go in the Napier Boys' game. Town is getting their chances but manage to butcher them again and again.
Now it's getting silly. This is rugby, boys, not football. Forwards kicking the ball is generally not a good idea ..
Another attack from Town going nowhere, with one of their players kicking the ball dead.A few phases later, a few more handling errors from Town, and another dominant scrum from Napier, and this game is over, too.
Full time:
St Pat's Silverstream 0 - 24 Hastings Boys'
St Pat's Wellington 5 - 43 Napier Boys'The difference with Tribe is a conversion. I can't possibly say who is right, Sideline live or Tribe. It's hard to see on screen sometimes whether a conversion is good, because they're not zooming in (enough).

Are there any Hastings Boys Old Boys on the Fern who are members, or are willing to become members, of the Hastings Boys' High School Old Boys' Association (Official Group) Facebook Group? This used to be a public group and they have published team info in the past, but now they're a private group and outsiders can't see their content anymore.
You'd do us a big favour by keeping us informed about the team, if anything is posted in that group, such as team line-ups and games (incl. kick-off times and venues).
