I dont want to come across as whining about the ref but the bloke who ended Hoopers night with a high tackle should have already been sent from the field a few minutes earlier for direct contact to the head.
O'Keefe failed on the player safety front IMO.
At least a penalty. Have seen similar get carded, most agreed live with that view.
The second was awful. Scott Barrett level awful.

A penalty for the technical violation, sure. But if you're sending players from the field because they bend over and inadvertently knock heads with a player who is spinning and dipping, the game is ruined.
-
@antipodean he was spinning but barely dipped at all. Defender made no effort to lower his body height.

Second part isn’t true, he was just tall. He bent at the hips, that’s the main thing that saved him.
Should have been a penalty IMO, he still hit the guy high.

Havili and Goodhue demonstrated they're not the answer for the All Black's midfield.
@Kirwan said in Waratahs v Crusaders:
I think being outside DH was the biggest problem for him,

Whitelock looked old tonight. Crusaders backrow badly dominated too.
My Safe White boy XV looks bang on and I think I might add Cullen Grace after tonight.

So what is Fossie going to do now Sader Blacks were terrible. Tahs Loosies were awesome.
On the plus side, Jack Goodhue was starting to get back into his traps in the last 30 minutes and Reece seemed to do OK.

Well done the Tahs, pleased for @NTA.
Cheers.
Missed most of it as I'm at my son's 18th birthday party while simultaneously having a migraine. Something to do with playing most of first grade at THP I think.
First two tries were nice. Dylan Pietsch is the ex-7s player who had been threatening for a while.
Coleman has given these guys work ethic.

Cullen Grace's AB chances took a big hit tonight.
He was just "there" without adding anything.
Foster will be keen then

@Toddy Perhaps the crusaders are just not that good.
Lack of squad depth utterly confirmed.
believe me.. it's been frustrating, the Crusaders insistence on journeyman such as Bower, Hickey, Gardiner, Klein, Dalzell, Christie, Burke, Grace, etc.. is puzzling to say the least. Their recruitment for the last 3 seasons has been basically non-existent, been relying on the old boys getting into mid-30's (Whitelock, Taylor, Moody) and lots of the players coming through that they've recruited in either the main or wider squad simply aren't up to Super level, the depth just ain't there - too many Canterbury NPC journeymen and limited hard grafters. The recruiting has been so unbelievably insular ever since the 2019 season, I've said it many times previously that the complacency & laziness in their recruitment over the last 3 seasons would eventually come back to bite them.

Pretty poor right across the board tonight. Codie Taylor a shadow of his former self. The bench was the only positive really, Havili (the forward), Newell, and maybe Williams. Everything just looked so laboured.
RTS as an AB midfield option just became much more attractive. -

Disagree, I agree with commentators etc, first one was a rugby incident, and I thought the Tahs player's head actually hit Dalzells more than the other way around.
