@ACT-Crusader I hope they get Middleton back. I want it to be a fair fight
-
@canefan doesn't seem likely
While there was some hope Khris Middleton could come back from a sprained MCL later in the second round, that’s looking like an unlikely case, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Middleton went down with his injury on April 20, and the initial plan was for the Buck to be reevaluated in two weeks. However, Wojnarowski reported on NBA Today on Wednesday that the MCL is “expected to keep him out longer than that.”

Warriors first team through in the West. Some interesting lineups that Kerr went with during this series.
There’s either some shrewd gamesmanship going on by Kerr in a message to the league or they still don’t know whether to play Wiggins in their best/close out lineup.
Whether it’s his passing game or getting to the basket or stepping back for 3, Steph is still must see TV.
And what I think will be the series of these entire playoffs - Boston v Bucks. Length, offensive power, a championship team vs the best team in 2022. Love it.
I watched the 2nd half. Steph was great. And while I know he had a hammy and was in foul trouble, Jokers defense was pathetic. Those 2 drives from Steph, Joker was the help on both and right there - he didn't even bother to put a hand up.
Stoekd to see GSW go through. Klay still looks a bit off to me. GP2 stepped up big. And Draymond was a complete beast on D

Jokic did well to drag that roster this far.
The series would've been really interesting if Murray and MJP were healthy.
Huge fan of Murray. The guy can score and is tougher than his size/frame appears.
MPJ is streaky good but still has defensive issues to work on.

Some of those catch and shoots by Klay are just ridiculous. Not just talking about the ones he makes, but the fact he has barely caught it and it’s up is something to behold. Especially when he catches in the corner.
To me he is moving very well but it is still taking time for him to gel with the other new guys which makes him look a little off.

Jeez you are a tough marker mate. Joker was clearly diminished physically, which Steph exploited drawing his 5th foul, a guard outpacing a hobbled big man. He spent long stretches on the bench and came on to basically singlehandedly keep the Nuggets close with his scoring. Great to see the players embracing after the game, something you don't always see in NBA games

He was amazing offensively again. But he really is a liability defensively. It's not hard to raise an arm. Can't remember what game it was in this series, but he got benched for a defensive possession down the stretch. Thats not a great look for the MVP...

Someone did analysis of release time a few years back and he was right up there. Amazing. To catch a pass at head height and not lower it, is nuts
-
@canefan that’s intentional from CP3. Whilst Paul does have a natural leg out motion when he shoots his jump shot, that was a kick out rather than just the motion.
He was clearly frustrated with Alvarado playing in your face defence and doing a pretty good job.

The Warriors went really small on that play. Porter Jr and Wiggins were playing the 4 and 5. Most centres aren't going to stay on the court on that possession.

The death lineup is a tough match up for most teams

Mate, they'd targeted him in the pick and roll the last few possessions. They forced him off the court. That's not happening to Embiid or TGF. Heck, it didn't even happen to Steph...

TGF is hardly in the same category as Embiid and Joker when it comes to ‘big man’ switching 😉 TGF is a 1 through 5 guy. Embiid has had his issues on switches late in games this season.

Embiid might stay in, but I'm not sure he'd fair much better in the same scenario, not many true 5s would. Gobert is considered the best defensive centre in the game, but he often gets taken out on defensive plays late in games against 5 shooter line-ups too.
Not saying Jokic is a great defender, it's just really hard for most centres to defend what the Warriors were running with that line-up.
-
@ACT-Crusader @Dice Don't disagree, tough for any centre against those lineups targeting you. I was more concerned about his lack of effort though - the 2 drives Curry scored off (not the foul he drew on Joker), Joker was really lazy. He was in great position, and didn't even bother to put a hand up. Sure he was on 5 fouls, but he could have done much more than he did. No point saving yourself for offense when you're giving up layups at the other end.
-
@voodoo I think he was spent and the leg was giving him issues. Plus add carrying the team, away from home, hostile Warriors crowd, down on the scoreboard where you are sort of in it but not really, demoralising moments when it’s not even one of the big name players hitting two huge 3s.
They weren’t great plays, but it didn’t really cost them the game (or series).
