@stargazer pretty sure Michael Robinson in that team is a boy who was in the team I used to coach up here, played 10 (talented cricketer too, which is why he went to that school)

There are plenty of pre-season games starting now. I see that Rotorua BHS are playing Auckland GS and De La Salle over the next week. It will be interesting to compare Super 8 vs 1A.

My comment was more about the number of pre-season games increasing by the week. Unfortunately, some schools are better at promoting their games, while for others you wouldn't know they are playing.

There will be more games, because - as @Bovidae says - some schools don't let anyone know they're playing.

That was the surprise score I was alluding to above.

I've no idea if that is their biggest loss, but either RBHS are really strong this year, or AGS are weak. Maybe a little of both.

Hamilton BHS and Westlake BHS's traditional preseason games today. First game for Hamilton while I was told that Westlake have played 3 games so far. There looked to be plenty of new faces in the Hamilton BHS team compared to last year, and a few missing. They certainly don't have the biggest forward pack. In fact Westlake BHS were bigger, but Hamilton BHS's speed out wide was the difference.
