Michael Bracewell is a very handy batsmen, hope he fires in the 3rd one... was impressed with his bowling in the 2nd ODI, he gives the ball a really good rip for an off spinner.
Happy to be proven wrong but that record of his indicates he’d be not much more than a place filler at international level. I’d like to think we have more potentially dominant players than him floating round the traps.

He batted really well for Wgtn this year, so deserves a crack... he also gets really turn off the pitch, probably more turn than any other off spinner we have.

The Seddon Park block is a bit of a strange one in that half the block is of a clay that really rips, the other half is your more normal nz clay. I think 6 pitches in the bloc, so 3 pitches of each type.
When we play tests etc at Seddon Park we don't use the spinning half of the block. But plenty of the televised Super Smash games ends up using that part of the block.
Both Sodhi and M Bracewell were getting it to really turn on Saturday. I didn't see the first innings so didn't see Rippon bowl.
Bracewell certainly never gets turn like that at the Basin.
I don't think Bracewell turns it any more off the pitch than the other off spinner on the domestic circuit; Jo Walker for ND. (Although he has the advantage of playing more games at the spin friendly venues of Seddon Park and Bay Oval) . But he is taller and quicker through the air than Walker.
Bracewell has left concentrating on his bowling very late in his career. Only been doing it the last 3 seasons, and he's 31 now. Before that he had only taken about 1 wicket (IIRC) in the first 8 or 9 years of his domestic career.

Jesus christ Nichols gets out in a fashion that is reminiscent of the last game. Surely the craps aren't going to be crap again.

Some sad sad people that do this on cricinfo thinking they are funny
Cav Creek: "Full credit to Rosco on his service to NZ cricket and the strong foundations he's provided to our middle order. I still remember some of the terrible collapses in the mid '90s."

Far out, we posted 340-odd, and you'd think game over.
Myburgh is carving it up, 60 off 37; 74/0 off 10. It's nuts - well done Netherlands
Two wickets lost. Nice work on the reverse jinx.
My best work. Just ask my boss.
