How could anyone be that fucking stupid though?
So Islamophobic..
The answer is mostly immigration, although the finger will be pointed at other groups
I presume whoever commissioned the survey has a vested interest in public money being spent on education services that they provide? This is how this normally works

For anyone who actually wants to read the report, you can find it here.
Facts? Pffft
Worth noting that things are better than they were, that the definition of 'antisemitism' has some leeway, and that they don't give much doubt to those who say 'unclear' which sounds like a reasonable answer to some of those questions, which are clearly slanted.
-
@gt12
Yeah I didn't read the whole 102 pages but for those that are interested the table of results is broken down into Classical Anti-Semitism, Anti-Israel anti-Semitism (or Zionophobic views as the report classifies it) and Other anti-Semitism.'anti-Semitic' results are far higher for the anti-Israel questions with the antisemitic results highest for the questions; Israel is an apartheid state, Israel is committing mass murder and Israel is the only real democracy in the Middle East. Left wing voters are the most anti-semitic.
Personally I think you can deplore some of the state of Israel's actions without being in any way prejudiced against individual Jews but I'm a privileged white, male boomer so I'm going to hell anyway.

They are coming across more and more like bullies and incompetents. That Greens chick flew despite being a household contact. And Jacinda was roundly contradicted on her claim that breast cancer screening wait lists weren't affected by covid19 lockdowns. By the head of the breast cancer foundation

looks like The Warehouse might be trying to have another crack at the grocery market...I guess it is pretty telling as to the monopoly that the 2 main players had over the market that The Warehouse didnt maanage to get a foothold in it previously.

not sure how well received that would be...?

@taniwharugby Why get rid of Labour day which while anachronistic does recognise NZ's pathfinding history of labour reforms and keep Queens Birthday?
Most of our public holidays make no sense in a majority secular, non christian society.
Matariki, ANZAC, Waitangi - that's about it. even the various Anniversary Day's - most people have no idea what they denote.
let's have days that mean something. Everest Day, Beating the Boks Day, Snell Day, San Diego Day. Richard Pearses Birthday. Hadlees 400 Day....

Am sure those in NZ will have seen all the media coverage around 'ram raids' often the perpetrators are young teens.
Surely all the coverage the media are giving is helping fuel these? It has to be a fine line between reporting news and helping creating it?
Especially as they seem to have spread around the country more now too, these wannabe gangsters are all trying to get thier 5 mins of fame?

It's been said that social media is more likely to be fueling it - supposedly copy cat stuff on Tik Tok.
(Maybe the wannabee gansters think as badly of Stuff and the Ferald as the rest of us? )
-
@Donsteppa well I think our media are pretty much just social 'media' anyway, so same same
-
@taniwharugby and second tier to TikTok, Insta, and Snapchat. At least as far as the young'uns see things
