@kiwiwomble yeah it's a bit shit. On one hand how does Sampson feel about it? On the other hand you've got succession planning to think about, particularly as Cron arrives later this year.

I guess Sampson knew the deal when he took up the post, particularly when Cron has been seen as the One That Got Away from Aussie Rugby when the Tahs were still faffing around with Gibson. However, I think time overseas would have helped him enormously and so any time is a good time in this case...

@nta i think you give Sampson a chance to say he's not coming back first, save some face...and then surprising quickly can name someone new

Cron would have been named coach this early to try and attract signings for next season.

Not much point waiting 3 more months for the season to finish.

So the Force go from 2/5 Kiwi coaches to 3/5 (assuming the others won't change).

It's a good move for Crony, he's pretty pumped to be moving back to this part of the world - shame (for us) it's not to a NZ franchise, but it's a stepping stone!

He's been in our systems before and still wants to come back. Guess the paycheque was too good over in the land of Twiggybuck$ 😉

He got pretty fucked by mgmt and Gibson at the Tahs and it really cost the team in the end. I haven't seen the details of the new contract , but I'd imagine he's negotiated a decent amount of autonomy in Perth.

    And some Twiggybuck$

I'm assuming any change in Federal Government won't alter this. There's at least 2 elections between now and 2027 😉

No, noone will change it, and it hardly surprising, everyone with half a brain knew they were alwys going to get it, all good promo and keeping it front of people's minds though!

really hope this leads to more grants etc for club rugby, we've been trying to build a clubhouse/pavilion for years, currently use the pit lane at albert park for changing sheds but have to vacate whilst the F1 is on....even have the land!

@tim probably as Paisami, Perese, Foketi, Ikitau are in the Wallaby training squad and he isn't. That's the way the wind is blowing.

Throw in Kerevi to parachute in and, well...

Simone is a loss for the Brumbies but not so much the Wallabies - as NTA points out there a number ahead of him in the queue. I'd pick Hamish Stewart before him too.

    This is pretty cool.

The Super W final will be played at Aami Park in Melbourne during the Super Round in 2 weeks.

Looks like it will be before the Saturday double header of Blues-Drua and Canes-Reds

@kiwimurph How would the best Aussie team compare to the Chiefs Manawa?

Fijiana Drua are undefeated in Super W so far and seem a class above. Would like to see them play Chiefs Manawa.

@kiwimurph OK. A Waikato FPC player, Jade Coates, is part of the Drua.
