been canned as the Copyrighters could not come up with decent regulations to put forward so ISPs didn't have to deal with it based solely on accusation....<br />
<br />
Finally watched Get Smart...avoided as had heard lots of bad things. <br />
<br />
I liked it, a bit silly, but then the series was hardly serious; 6.8/10.<br />
<br />
BTW, Anne Hathaway has rocketed up my rankings.... -

She does have a sensational body (gets her cans out in some rubbish movie about rich girls and hispanic gangsters) but she has the face of a 50 year old woman. it's a wierd mix.<br />
<br />
Loving the classics people are reliving here, Commando rocks, Point Break rocks too. I just got Conan on DVD, brilliant!! Arnie is huge!! and can barely speak! Quality. -

If you want quality Arnie you CAN NOT go past Hercules in New York, I grabbed this DVD at the warehouse for $2.99 ( no shit ). That was where it all began and he is just enormous in that. Some farkin awful dialogue and he couldn't even speak English and had to be dubbed ! I'm pretty certain this movie was made on a shoestring budget but one of the highlights was him riding a chariot through the streets of NYC. Hard to believe he became the biggest star in the world after starring in such top quality rubbish but there y'go...only in America. -

<br />
Not too mention the Governor of California.<br />
Yeah Ann Hathaway is a weird one, plain looking normally but has a great bod -
MAN ON WIRE<br />
<br />
9.5/10<br />
<br />
Genius on all levels. -
Still have always rated Neeson, sad to hear about his wife.
<br />
<br />
She was great, and her death was a shock. Always rated her highly in the lead roles of "Patty Hearst" and grossly underappreciated "Handmaid's Tale." RIP Tasha. -

<br />
All I remember of that movie was someone getting attacked by a horde of people and coming out minus a head !! mind you only saw a few minutes of it !! -
BOdy of LIes; Crowe & Dicaprio 7.0/10 <br />
<br />
Dicaprio an undercover CIA operative in the middle east. Really like Dicaprio as an actor nowadays.<br />
<br />
Twilight; 7.2/10<br />
<br />
Teen vampire romance, a couple more to be made...my biggest issue is the different take on what vampires can and cannot do, is nothing sacred? <br />
<br />
Bedtime stories; Adam Sandler - 5.1/10<br />
<br />
Pretty average silly movie. -
I saw Twilight on opening weekend, and the muted gothic colour palette and thin plot made me sleepy. I guess I'll give it 6/10, but might re-assess if I ever see it again.<br />
<br />
I watched Guy Maddin's My Winnipeg yesterday. 9/10. Another beautiful visual gem from Maddin. His last feature, from a few years ago, "The Saddest Music In the World" (Mark McKinney, Isabella Rossellini) was one of my fave films of that year, and although this new one is visually similar, the narrative is stylistically dissimilar, this one being a pseudo-documentary with mostly Maddin's voiceover, and only spare dialogue between a few family members. This film is short, only runs about 85 mins. A bit goofy in places, but at the end I had a big stupid grin on my face. The sequence about his sister killing a deer with the family truck, and the one about ice hockey and the Winnipeg Jets leaving the NHL and the city debacle about the old and new arenas was hilarious and bittersweet for any person from a smaller-sized city that lost a beloved pro sports franchise. As always when recommending Maddin, his films are so different and otherworldly that you'll think him either a master or a charlatan. Many people find his films unwatchable, but I have been hooked on his work for many years. -
Watched Seed of Chucky last night and it was so bad it was compulsive viewing.<br />
<br />
When Childs Play came out, it was the limit of my Horror watching abilitites as I'm a fraidy cat when it comes to horrors as I hate frights. I loved it. Thought it was awesome. This new version is just so bad it's no longer a horror and should be a comedy.<br />
<br />
His doll wife flashes him so he can whip the head off it to impregnate a human. It's just sooooooooo bad. -
was that the on Sky last night? Was surfing and came across it and stopped to watch for a bit, 10 mins later still glued to it, despite it's crapness...wife then came in and made me change back to Shortland Street...

Yeah, that was it. I too only caught it while channel surfing after TCGW -
Im a fan of the Chucky movies, always a good laugh (or fright if your scaredy Hooroo <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> )<br />
Enjoyed the previous one better, Bride Of Chucky.<br />
<br />
Enjoy seeing the real life Jennifer Tilly as well. <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> -

Seed of Chucky is the worst of the lot.<br />
<br />
The first Child's Play is played fairly straight, there's some good psychological tension there. The sequels get incrementally sillier. I've seen all of them multiple times, and I am a fan of the series, but Seed of Chucky was a half-baked idea and didn't work.<br />
<br />
Bride of Chucky is probably my fave, especially the way Tiffany keeps getting under Chucky's skin aggravating him about how out-of-date he is, and Chucky's frazzled ego providing the impulse for him to prove to Tiffany that his manhood, virility and murderous creativity are still intact. "Timeless classic ... an oldie is still a goodie," etc. A trip to Niagara Falls where the sleezy motel seems situated almost on Table Rock and the honeymoon suite with the mirror ceiling that takes Tiffany's champagne bottle . . . don't want to deliver spoilers, but the whole thing is a hoot. I think that film might also be the last thing John Ritter made before he died. (His expiration scene using the dashboard airbag is one of Chucky's best-ever creative murders.) Dourif and Tilly are great together, but the script for Seed of Chucky didn't come close to matching their earlier pairing.
