It's an NZ XI. No NZ A.
Not even a List A match status (although it should be, if it isn't going to be 12-a-side), let alone an ODI.
Basically a collection of youngsters who aren't in the provincial teams for plunket shield, plus some of the squad who will play the lone T20I; Cleaver, Sears (although he's 12th man today). Plus M Bracewell to captain them
Although Josh Clarkson would be NZ A level in this format.

The traditional Hawkes Bay drought breaking rain (albeit only light drizzle at this stage) has arrived so highly unlikely today's T20 match between the Dutchies and the NZ XI will take place. Wouldn't be surprised if the teams even bother going to the ground let alone tossing the coin. Looks like the Cricket HB 500 Championships will be taking place!

Fucking Napier and cricket. If it's not raining, it's a sun strike delay. The only thing that vanue has been good for historically is stat-padding for batsmen. In fact if the region didn't produce some stonking chardonnay it could just fuck right off into Hawkes Bay and no-one would miss it.

Jesus, that was confusing, seeing a notification for a cricket thread.
Anyway, I like a good @shark hissy fit, his Chiefs ones back in the day were epic and he's been a bit quiet of late.
Also, I have to fact check him, the bay we would fuck right off into is called Hawke Bay, the province Hawkes Bay.

Yeah sorry about that. It's because the Chiefs have been shit and Cane's dubious rights to the captaincy and an All Black spot fullstop are quite rightly in question so I've had little to be upset about. But wait until tomorrow night because if we lose I'm going to blame Jacinda for allowing a parochial crowd and you'll really see me throw one.
