Go the Banglas, they lose this one & NZ are basically out of the tournament

are they? I thought this was pretty irrelevant; if anything it opens up the Windies dropping games against SA as well and going out.

With the Windies getting the two points they jumped ahead of us & we're playing pretty erratically... also never a great position to be in when you have to keep winning & rely on other results going your way.

Blanglas stuffed up a great opportunity to beat the Windies... they only had to score a bit under 3 runs per over to get over the line.

The current points table. NZ is stuffed if there isn't a game today because of their poor NRR. England also plays the bottom 2 teams to finish. SA has the toughest finish but have points on the board.

We are 134/3 after 30.3 overs, but Devine is also retired hurt with a sore back, so even if she comes back she'll likely be hampered.

The other three of the big 4 haven't done enough. We're going to need the lesser lights to bat out of their skins or we're fucked.

    I'm going with Option b.

Halliday gets run out with a foolish run. 137/4 or 5.

And the last two show a bit of fight and then run like ninth graders to engineer a hooorrible mix up.

Even when it does go well for a White Fern with the bat, Green still manages to be part of two runouts...

Still, if England bat like they have for most of the summer, we have a small chance...

@donsteppa That last one looked to be Green's fault too. She started to go back and then changed her mind.

Another 10 runs would have added a bit more pressure.

So if we go on to lose this and miss the semis it must go down as one of the great hosting chokes?

Does NZ not realise it is a 50 over match? Continually getting bowled out with balls to spare is criminal.

I can't quite make my mind up, it would be a choke, and yet also not very surprising...

    Not really in my mind.

We are only 5th seeds, so needing home advantage to pull us through.

That is an interesting discussion. Worst hosting chokes? Americas Cup 2003 when we broke our boat was one of the worst I can remember offhand
