One frustration - I don't understand how that is not a deliberate knock on against Heem? Why is it only called when people are going for intercepts.
Deliberate knock on to catch a pass to you? What?
No genuine chance to regather the ball. Going for an intercept is also trying to catch a pass. It's just bad logic that so many intercepts are called deliberate knock ons.
No you're confused, trying to catch a pass to yourself, can't be a deliberate knock on
The law doesn't state that.

Ok, sure. So that means every player that drops a pass forward gets penalised. Great idea

Why doesn't the 5m rule apply anymore?

Blues choke incoming?

Nah. The law states: "It is not an intentional knock-on if, in the act of trying to catch the ball, the player knocks on provided that there was a reasonable expectation that the player could gain possession."
Heem had no reasonable expectation to gain possession there (like most players going for an intercept). Therefore, I think it is a deliberate knock on..

That tackle looks bad just after he got the Blues boys in a huddle.
