International powerhouse and Wallaby Test centurion Sekope Kepu will Captain Moana Pasifika for their debut season in Super Rugby Pacific. Kepu’s duty gets under way with this Friday’s pre-season game against the Gallagher Chiefs at Mt Smart Stadium. With 110 Test caps and three Rugby World Cup campaigns to his name, Sydney-born Kepu has been a natural choice for the Moana men. Kepu was the first prop to reach the 100 Test milestone for Australia and he is their most capped prop of all time. In total, Kepu has played 295 first-class matches including 141 appearances for the Waratahs and he brings a wealth of experience and wisdom to the emerging talent of Moana Pasifika.

Not bad, securing funding from both Australian and New Zealand tax payers in its first year!

@Duluth I must be one of the few Ferners that have watched games at Prince Charles Park in Nadi, Teufaiva Stadium in Nukualofa, Churchill Park in Lautoka, and Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka. Have also been to Apia Park and ANZ Stadium in Suva but not watched any games there. Honourable mentions also to Hunterville Domain and Collingwood Rec ground I think it is called amongst what would be well over 200 to 300 grounds I have watched a rugby game at!

@FakatavaFuture said in Pasifika SR team:
not sure where to put this but just read that Ere Enari, Danny Toala among others will be playing international rugby for Samoa🙌
As expected the PIs are just using MP as another vehicle to poach our players.
Seems early for Toala to switch.
