He's just lucky to have been on the end of 2 amazing passes from Adams, half the work was done for him...
Adams is the real MVP
That full court pass he did off a rebound a couple of games ago was sweet too. Richard Jefferson was talking it up and said “they don’t even play pro football in the country he’s from” 😉
The van Gundy brothers love Adams and even find ways to talk about him when he’s not even in the game they are commentating!
They don't play "pro football" on any other continent, Richard 'I Sound Like A Cartoon Middle-Aged White Guy' Jefferson
Adams the newest point 5??
you see that pass Jokic threw the other day?

The Nets lose again and are sliding to the play-in
The Celtics are going the other way on teh back of an8-2 run, while Miami firms at the top on the back of 9-1. The East will be a bloodbath in the post seasonLakers lose at home again
The top of the West isn't moving much because every team has gone 8-2 off the last 10
Every team that is, except the Warriors. Still smashed by injuries they are really battling, and the 3 seed is beckoning. -
@mariner4life Lakers blew that game against the Mavs. During their good run LBJ and Russ showed exactly how they could play together and take a game over. Then the jitters and pressure set in for the final 2-3 minutes and they couldn’t hit the side of a barn.
Agree the East is going to be crazy fun, which is a big change from recent years when the first rounds are generally a foregone conclusion.
The West’s 9-12 positions are going to be a mad finish. The Pelicans are actually worth watching now since they got CJ.
-
Are the Clippers due to get George and Kawhi back for the playoffs. Because given how the rest of the squad are playing at the moment, they could do some damage
-
@mariner4life it’s only the Lakers 😀
Reggie Jackson on fire and add in the other very good pieces (Covington, Morris, Zubak, Mann, Hartenstein) plus PG and Leonard, they have depth
@voodoo a Luka playing with purpose and focus is something to behold. The acquisition of Dimwiddie I think has really helped his game.

They've gone all in on Luca-ball and the floor spacing (plus Dimwiddie's runing of the second unit) seems to be working. I don't think we have enough pieces to win this year, but could be a bad team to face in the playoffs. I'm interested in whether we can add some new pieces moving forward.

Stevie Adams had a big game today showing nice touch around the basket. Went for 23pts / 12reb / 5ast / 1st / 3blk - but the Grizzlies lost to the Rockets!
Morant really couldn’t get going.
Watch the condensed version of the Nets and Celtics game. KD showing some touch after being out for a while. Tatum on fire though. Celts are tough. They could probably get to number 2 in the East by season end.

Have to love the Joker, who was like, hey I'm still the reigning MVP with 46 Pts, 12 Reb, 11 Asst & 4 blocks against the Pels (on 70% shooting).
Nice list of players he joins with that one.
It was the way he did it too. Only had 14 pts at half time.
Pels are pretty good to watch these days.

was talking to the kids on the way to school about the insane level of talent floating around at the moment. The old guys are having to work very hard to keep up.
LBJ is still going well (at one end), Durant hurt, Harden hurt. Curry slowing. Their era is coming to a close
But that talent below, no not below, coming after them is insane. Luka, Embiid, Morant, Tatum, Booker and Ayton at the Suns, just incredible younger players everywhere. Throw in MVP level guys like Jokic and Giannis who have years left and the league is in really fucking good hands. Even a guy like Dejounte Murray at the Spurs is sticking up good all round numbers on an average team. And the class of rookies and sophomores.
And, best of all, it's all spread around the league.

Trae Young, and maybe one day even Zion too.

@mariner4life in the top 40 scorers in the league you have:
14 players 20-24yo
Doncic, Young, Morant, Tatum, SGA, Ingram, Fox, Edwards, Herro, Garland, Ball, Bridges, Barrett, Trent Jnr19 players 25-30yo
Embiid, Giannis, Jokic, Mitchell, Booker, KAT, Lavine, Jaylen Brown, McCollum, Siakim, Vanvleet, Dejounte Murray, Middleton, Randle, Rozier, DeAngelo Russell, Sabonis, Tobias Harris, Christian Wood7 players 31yo+
LBJ, DeRozan, Curry, Harden, Holiday, Westbrook, VucevicPlayers that would very likely be in this mix if they had played enough games - Durant (31+), Zion (20-24), Klay (31+), Jamal Murray (25-30), Beal (25-30), Wall (31+)
League is in a good transition point

Russ moans about being called Westbrick and basically confirms that from now on he'll be called that on the road (possibly at home) forever.
That whole situation is a fucking mess and I feel a bit shit because I quite like Russ' passion, but he is simply stinking the fucking joint out.
And, fuck you for moaning about your kids getting a bit of shit.
Like, fucking hell man, you are as rich as fucking shit and you'll get paid more than LBJ next year, read the goddamn room.

Russ is not above being pretty fucking rude to reporters that ask questions he doesn't like. Pot kettle champ.
My guy, you are getting $41 million fucking dollars a year, you are playing like absolute shit at a team with lofty expectations. Worse than that, your effort isn't demonstrably there, and you simply refuse to change the way you play to adjust to your situation/age. I reckon taking some shit from the crowd is expected
There have been some crazy videos of fans and player jawing at each other at Lakers games.
Also Westbrick is one of my favourite nicknames in all of sports.
-
You know things are really really really bad when Lebron goes for a triple double and Russ gets 30 and you still can’t beat the team with the worst record in the West.
For the sake of the game, I hope the Lakers don’t make the play-offs/in.
-
@act-crusader They really can't guard anyone - they gave up 19 points in OT, that's equivalent to a 45 point quarter!!!
