There were rumours a couple of seasons back that he pissed a few people off. Not sure how true that is but if so would have placed him behind Weber at the wrong time and given him little chance to redeem himself.

Was he injured or unfit? Often TTT was sent back to play Rotorua club rugby, but sometimes didn't play.

Given that Ratima was signed early, the Chiefs clearly didn't want him.
