Wtf. Southee still at 9. Averaging 6.something last 2 years.
Especially after Henry got a score and Wagner generally shows more application than Tim
I'd prefer Southee have the freedom to 'play his natural game', but should have Wagner ahead of him providing some solidity to the better batsman at the other end. Wagner has 2 speeds.

For me Tim is an 11 in this lineup

Southee will show you all. His innings is all class so far and he’s only 97 runs away from a well deserved debut century.
He should prove it then
Oh he will, mark my words. I’m never wrong about shit like this

This post aged about as well as I expected

Southee these days is a rank #11 somehow still living on distant past glories to bat higher up.
I came to say exactly that.
Last three years Tim averages 9, Wagner averages 25 and Henry (very small sample of course) 39.

Pretty pathetic really.
This team has been a shower of shit for most of their home summer.
This is a road.
That's about 8 give-away wickets, including the trailenders. Edit. Although, I'm not really in the camp of the 2 leg side glances being giveaways, if I'm honest, just shit happens ....

With the focus Southee has put on his bowling he seems to have forgotten how to bat

Yep, the de Grandhomme and Mitchell show with the bat. Otherwise a top order full of brain explosions (Latham, Blundell) or just poor application...
Don't expect much better from Latham second innings, he doesn't like playing SA. He averages 10.77 against SA

Both he and Conway got out in cheap fashion. Need more from both of them. The entire top order can give themselves an uppercut

At least he can bowl, good start
