As NZ Covid restrictions are confusing.
Does phase 3 now help SR teams as they are heading home.
For A player who tests positive it will not now mean other members of the squad will not have to isolate as a close contact ?, unless they are staying in the same household.
Or have I got the that all wrong ?.

Unless they are living with or similar, so if you were sharing a hotel room or are flatmates, you'll have to iso with test on day 5 and 8

Usually the out of town squaddies group together in flats so maybe a risk of 2-3 out at a time.

We're heading home for Super Rugby clash with Chiefs — Blues Rugby

The Blues are coming home to rugby’s spiritual home of Eden Park next week. After a month in a bubble in Queenstown, the Blues are set to take on neighbours the Chiefs at Eden Park next Saturday, 5 March in the third round of the DHL Super Rugby Pacific competition.

@machpants maybe we will get to see them up here, albeit likely in an empty Okara Park.

I did note that when Michael Collins (Chiefs CEO) was interviewed he mentioned being able to play at home in front of sponsors, stakeholders and season members. So hopefully some of us do get to attend the games.

@machpants I'll happily sit on the grass somewhere, social distanced from everyone.

NZ borders opening up to Australia is presumably good news for the Super season - making the crossover NZ-Aus games much more likely (even if they are all in Aus).

@duluth not too much to disagree with. Jordie probably the most unlucky given how good Jordan was

oh, actually LF unlucky too, Rayasi was bloody good though.

RTS lucky no one else did enough at 12 to overshadow the good things he did.

Yeah he did a decent job

Finlay Christie v Smith is another close call

actually that's the other unlucky one, he was so good at just clearing fast all day when that Blues attack was rolling.
The Hurricanes lock would be unlucky as well, he had some bright moments. I would probably put him in over Barrett, but can't really whinge about the selection

Thomas Umaga-Jensen was very good too. Not brillant but solid and error free.

I was really impressed with TUJ's game , as you solid and error free which is a bloody good start for me.
