The odds are, that was Burrow's shot. At least at the Bengals.

    Probably.

You need a fair bit of luck to get there. Even Brady last year needed that - the Green Bay game was really touch and go.

But yeah, take Brady out and it's on. that said, with the talent comign through, some will get a couple of cracks.

    so, saw an interesting question

Does Joe Burrow ever get back to the Superbowl?

At first i laughed, and then

Superbowls are ridiculously hard to make, let alone win. You take Brady away (who has warped everyone's expectations around talented players and success) and the list of great QBs who have played in 2 SB's starts to drop away alarmingly

Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers are two of the greatest of all time, they have played in a combined 2 SBs.

The odds are, that was Burrow's shot. At least at the Bengals.

Hall of Famer Dan Marino never got back

    Russell Wilson to the broncos.

Broncos send Seattle Lock, Fant, Shelby Harris, 2 firsts, 2 seconds and a 5th. Plus they get a 4th back from Seattle.

That's a decent haul for Seattle but not insane. Broncos probably will be the happier of the two, you have to feel that this is at least partially Wilson forcing his way out and dropping his price. As a comparison Seattle paid 2 firsts and change for Jamal Adams a couple of years ago, and Adams was more vocally unhappy at the time than Wilson. Two extra seconds are significant and maybe the Seahawks wanted sooner draft picks rather than holding out for a 3rd first.

I get a sense that Rodgers re-signing triggered the Broncos pushing 'go' on this one.

Fun times next year - he's great to watch. Seattle in full rebuild now you'd think

Yep I'm interested to see how he goes, he's coming off a bit of a down year but I'm expecting the new surroundings and a pretty talented Broncos roster to help him bounce back.

I wonder if Miller comes back to the Broncos now.

Quite the group of QBs in the AFC West

Mahomes, Herbert, Wilson and presumably Carr (he needs a new deal but I can't see Raiders going elsewhere)

As he was a tormenter of the 49ers his whole career i'm glad to see Wilson out of the NFC.

    @kiwimurph

And one less talented QB in the NFC. Packers and Rams pretty clearly the top two teams there at the moment. Be interesting to see how free agency and the draft unfold and if any other teams manage to improve. Feels like we're at the start of a period of AFC teams dominating.

The 9ers are still missing a top drawer QB to take them all the way. And probably need to improve their secondary so they can actually stop the pass

The hope/plan is that Lance is that guy.

If 49ers can get Jimmy off the books that frees up $27 mil in cap space for this free agency to spend on areas such as secondary.

You have to wonder if Seahawks are thinking of next year's draft for a QB which is supposed to be stronger than this year's draft for QBs.

It might be Pete Carroll's last season too.

I don't know how far along Trey is. It would be ideal if he was at a point where he could start. Shanahan's offense is good for a less than stellar or a young QB because it is so run orientated. If he has the arm and accuracy he could provide a vertical threat that Jimmy didn't and that leaves all that money to spend on the team if they move Jimmy G. The pipe dream is Brady coming back to his home town for one season, don't know how much he would cost though and even if he can just move (I don't know if he was under contract at Tampa for 2023)

    well, no excuses now

we've been told we have the squad to win outside of QB. WIlson isn't at the peak of his powers, but he is an ENORMOUS upgrade on Lock and Bridgewater.

Perhaps we also, you know, try and throw the ball more than 5 yards at a time?

The AFC West is a fucking bloodbath now. A decent team is not going to the playoffs next year

    Rodgers getting absolutely paid.
