Any impressions of the young Moli brother who left highschool recently?
He is also around the Crusaders training and is in the Crusaders academy.
I hear he is rated well, good with ball in hand.If that is Monu, he needs a major work-on with his lineout throwing. Bell is a hooker from the same year.

Yep

@duluth Goodhue as a wing...right, unless he got faster after a knee reconstruction...
David Havili, Goodhue, Ennor and Fainga’anuku are all serious options in the midfield while the latter three could also feature on the wings.
-
Yeah, I’m pessimistic about how well he’ll come from injury in general. Time on the wing would be crazy

Assume we are talking about Goodhue? I am a fan, but he would make the world's slowest wing.

@duluth yeah if he comes back well, he will be in the mid-field, and as with most after major surgery, they come back losing half a yard of pace, so I expect he will get more than a chance at 12 for the Crusaders, he has the smarts and power, he just needs time if he is to develop there to try and muscle his way back into black.

@taniwharugby Is this his second major knee surgery? Did he have one when he first switched to centre from the wing?

@tim unsure if the same leg, but he wasn't really a winger was he, I thought he played more midfield in U20, but could play wing.
Yeah don't recall him on the wing - maybe the odd stint there at the most when he was starting out?
-
@taniwharugby Think he played first season of NPC for Canterbury on the wing?
-
From wiki:
Despite not making the initial Canterbury squad for the 2014 ITM Cup, he forced his way into the side during the year and went on to make 5 appearances and score 2 tries for them before concussion ended his season early. After starting the first 2 games of the following season, he suffered ACL and MCL knee injuries in a game against Counties Manukau which ruled him out for almost a year.[7]
He returned to full fitness for the 2016 Mitre 10 Cup and was in fine form with 3 tries in 11 games as Canterbury lifted their eighth Premiership title in nine years with a 43-27 victory over Ta$man in the final.[3]

He only played wing as we also had ALB and Faiane in the centres - who at that tournament were very good defensively. Vince Aso and Tevita Li on the wings, too - it was a very good backline. George Bridge in the squad, too.
He was always a midfielder, who just was a little too good to leave out the team, so they tried him there for a game or two.
