The GOAT is retiring. What an unreal career.
I was never a supporter of his, but I'm kind of sad he's retiring. He's just always been there ever since I first started following the NFL.
Amazing player, and one of the luckiest ever. Just rewatched the Rams game - to even get back to parity had a 4-0 turnover, from usually reliable players. It's crazy - he's awesome, clearly the GOAT ... but not as good a QB as Rodgers. Just more winning.
I watched his recent doco series on ESPN. May not be the most gifted QB but his most valuable gift was an unrivalled work ethic and an unbelievable mental toughness

I felt the same way for a while, but I'm convinced that Brady is the much better leader and can bring a lot of value to the team that isn't shown in the stats, so if I had to choose between the two to start a team, I might pick Brady.
I've always seen parallels between him and McCaw.

100% to both of these. If you had to pick someone to win a game, it's TB. His track record speaks for himself, primarily due to the intangibles. If you put him beside Rodgers (for instance) he's not as talented or capable a QB. Buuuut he wins the big and big moments (usually).
A healthy dollop of luck helps, and incredible longevity. And playing under Belichek for years.
GOAT for me

The league will not be the same.
It's now way easier, to win, you had to at some point slay Brady. Now that spectre isn't there.
Redefined what success in the NFL looks like. Has created a record everyone will be compared too, and no one will ever match.
Fuck you Tom Brady you magnificent bastard.

GOAT for me
If you need to pick a guy to win a game your life depended on, its Brady or Montana for me

The NFC could suddenly get very weak for a while if Brady retires and Rodgers goes to Broncos.
Almost all the young QB talent is in the AFC.
The AFC is suddenly brutal.
I think this move almost guarantees Rodgers won't go to the Broncos. That man needs another ring, and that chance just presented itself.

I don't think he can win it in GB unless they make major upgrades. Or he engineered a move to SF

For all the talk of Rodgers being a better QB
Brady at my fucking age led all the decent metrics this year
He's gar better than he's given credit for.
-
@mariner4life he's efficient, not inspiring.
Rodgers, Allen, Burrow made throws that give you a chubby
-
Brady gets yards, TDs and wins
I'll take that thanks.

I'd rather have a QB that makes clutch throws in the postseason rather than pretty throws in the regular season.
The guy is a killer who trains hard and makes his team mates raise their game.

McCaw in a sentence.
