    That's good news for the Blues and NZ rugby. He should be in the conversation for getting an invite as an assistant for the big job.

    All Blacks wing Caleb Clarke relishes having former Warriors NRL captain Roger Tuivasa-Sheck as a new training partner at the Blues.

    Senior hooker says continuity puts Blues in good stead ahead of Super season

    The Blues will head into the coming Super Rugby Pacific season knowing that it will take a monumental effort to continue their success from last year's Trans-Tasman tournament

    @nogusta Blues organised a press conference today with Leon MacDonald and RTS - that's where it's come from.

    Rugby generally does an awful job of promoting it's stars - the more the better imo.

    Have to say even as a Canes' man I am so looking forward to seeing how this Blues backline goes this year. I think Christie/Nock, BB/Perofata, he who can't be named for Nogusta's sake/Plummer,Reiko Ioane have the makings of some good combos from 9-13. Thorw in young Zarn Sullivan at 15 and the chouce of wings they got, could be a pretty exciting team to watch.

    Not that i've seen.

    I'd expect Tom Robinson.

    Isn't there a conflict of interest with Tana's nephews?
    Tane here, ok RTS, no problem helping you, my advice is to just go ask Rangi how to play in the midfield..

    Used to love having to get word of the day into mission briefs!

    tangent: Despite yelling 'fuck yeah' in their briefs, the yanks had very funny PC rules about what words they could use. For ex 'craniums up' cos you can't say head - it probably goes back to their toilet/restroom phobia. Good value watching the cringe in your briefing 'Alright, today we will be penetrating the box at 0600..."

    Matches my worries, but would totally like to be proven wrong!

    Roger Tuivasa-Sheck won't have space at 12 like he does in rugby league

    New Zealand Rugby (NZR) will want some bang for their buck, which means the man will need to quickly establish himself as an All Black to justify their spend.

    @machpants don't think it's an issue.

    His step is very late and he stays square, perfect for close quarters stuff.

    I think his ball carrying will be so good that he will be able to rely on it until he gets the hang of playing 12. Much like sonny who I would say never actually developed the latter to an elite level.

    @muddyriver having that great footwork can buy him some time as well, a skill I can only dream about , mine was tuck the ball under one arm and run into contact ..bit of Ngapuhi thing 🤦🏻
