@bovidae I don't think it affects the integrity of the comp, if it happens before the start of preseason. I also suspect this has a lot to do with the preparation of the World Cup; maybe the BFs coaches think she'll get more playing opportunities with Matatū? Things may go differently, next year.

Tyla Nathan-Wong released to play for nib Blues — Blues Rugby
Superlative Sevens star Tyla Nathan-Wong will join the nib Blues team for next year’s Super Rugby Aupiki competition. The 27-year-old Sevens superstar has been granted a clearance from the Black Ferns Sevens to compete in the historic first women’s Super-level competition in New Zealand.

They look like they should be the Blues. -
@crucial i think its supposed to be green/jade combo, Pounamu and the green of the mountains or something
could have just done Red and Blue stripes....like a rugby jersey

I know I'm colourblind but calling that jade? Where's the green?

@crucial i mean, jade is a shade/type of green, i think they're both "green"...just one very light/pale, i dont see any blue
dont get me wrong though, not overly defending it, definitely reminds me of those 2020 away jerseys

To me they missed the opportunity to call the team Pounamu and go with a nice dark green (maybe white accents for snow).
Happy to offer them my fashion advice if they only ask.

i guess the obvious choice when the other teams are colours like Blue or Yellow is Red...but they didn;t want to be like the crusaders, so i appreciate the thought....but i dont know why they didn't go with a South African or Irish type green
