Lyon didn't bowl a ball all test. Let that sink in.
9 wickets in a session. 10 for 56 to end it.
What are the England selectors and coaching team doing?
Looking for new jobs?
Aaand they'll get them. That's the true shame of top level Sports coaching these days: it doesn't matter how bad you are proven to be, you're in the door.

@donsteppa there seems to be some deeply reminiscent obsession with the Ashes.
Both teams and the relevant media will now spend the next two years obsessing about building towards the next Ashes. Which will be just aa underwhelming.

Booooring, now the real stuff can start - ODIs against us.
Only real positives from this Ashes is that Oz unearthed a couple of new talents that look good for the future. Their bowling averages will go up and batting averages down once they tour elsewhere.

Certainly no question that is a thoroughly deserved bronze for Australia in the WTCC.
Clearly better than England. Wonder if this will be a spring board for them to come and play with the big boys now.
Given this extra confidence and with a bit of luck, the Aussies might rise to be beaten Finalists in the next World Test Cricket Championship.

There are lots of directions to point fingers when looking at this England rabble but I hope they have learned that Stokes is heartless. His dismissals almost always paid a big part in collapses and were usually from totally unnecessary shots.
Is there more to the story or did he just give up and couldn't be arsed?
Root is a rubbish captain but he also had no support from other senior players.
