@duluth won't matter with this rain.
Is it settling in for the day? Or is just going to be an on/off day?
I think the latter - was hammering down at my place 20 minutes ago, now the sun is threatening to break through. That's what would have happened at the SCG about 30-45 minutes ago

Rain is moving in from the east in waves with possible thunderstorms predicted. Reckon they might see a bit of play early but it would be a fluke, and not for long.
Then again, it could break up offshore and just be a muggy bastard of a day perfect for swing. Win the toss and bowl.

Play has started with Australia winning the toss and batting. Bit of nip and swing early, with 4.3 overs before more rain. This will be the story of today.

It is basically coming in straight from the east, so we'll get an hour or so in and then more rain as the next band hits:

This shows a clearing sky.

These rain delays are ridiculous.
Multiple breaks where the covers aren't even on for 5 minutes before they come back out.
Meanwhile you've got the vice captain playing on his home track doing whatever he can to get off the field and not to play.
You wouldn't know these guys are in the entertainment industry would you.
