Amazing review. He didn't hesitate for a moment. I figured he must have hit it, but no - he just knew where the stumps end.
No use saving the review for the tail?
Yes but that kind of thinking normally takes a few moments consideration and consultation with the non-striker.
Mitchell reviewed almost immediately. That's normally a sign that a batsman just knows they aren't out.

Now we need to bat well.
The path to victory is clear. Bat for 2.5 days and declare 200-250 ahead. Then bowl India out in 4.5 sessions.
Fuck me. We’ll be doing incredibly well to avoid the follow on at this rate
Exactly. Not pass the follow on, get put in again, then bat well and set India a target on day 5.
What did you think I meant?

Looks like they expect Patel to do all the work with the bat as well. Somerville was clearly a selection to lengthen the batting...
I didn't think for a moment that Stead was serious about batting Mitchell at 3, given the history of Ravindra plus the option of asking Blundell to open, or Taylor and Nicholls to shift up one, but...
Taylor has gone a series too far.

Is @ 15 a target? Just asking for a friend

I’d say Patel will be going for the classic 10/10. 10 wickets and 10 runs. Would be joint top-scorer which is not to be sneezed at.

They all seem to be equally terrible.

That is one mixed emotions score to see this morning.
Well not really, winning is everything.
Fucking useless.
Black Crap level useless

Stead loses the plot on the big away tours. Eventually the players can't keep bailing him out of his selectorial genius moments.
Would have helped tonight if Conway didn't punch his bloody bat, at least there'd be one alternative to the misery of Mitchell/Taylor/Nicholls.
The irony being his refusal to play Wags has made history for another top bloke.
