We play India in 36 hours, lol.
isn't it more like 60 hours? Not htat it makes it much better- Thursday morning NZT
17th Nov, 7pm (think that is Indian time).
So, yeah you're right actually. 2 and a half days time, rather than one and a half days away.

From some player ratings in Stuff. Posted more for the stats than the rating...
Trent Boult: The pick of the bunch. Thirteen wickets, tied for second-best in the tournament, at an average of just 13.30 and an economy rate of 6.25. Used all of his skills and toil. 8
Mitchell Santner: Entered the tournament as a key member of the bowling unit with his ability to restrict runs. Did so superbly in the win over India but bowled only one over in the semi and couldn’t make an impact in the final, ending the tournament with just two wickets at 74.50. 4

Why didn't they put Santner's ER in their write up? Things that make you go hmmm. Because it was good?
The answer? it was, ER of 6.77

Santner is the old/new Bridge
Santner has been Santner longer than Bridge has been Bridge.
He's absolutely fine in T20. Honestly, un-threatening in Tests and kinda in ODI, but his value in T20 is strong. He's hard to hit - and that's a skill.

He definitely has a place in the shorter formats.

Not so bad - lots of shits and giggles in there, but a calendar that makes some kind of sense.
Kinda takes away from T20 WC wins if there's another one most years though. It's just a massive revenue grab, and reflects the transition of top level sport as sport, to sport as a business

Next ODI World Cup is in India in October 2023. So with the T20 World Cup in OZ next year, there are lots of chances for us to
get knocked out bypractice trying to beat Australia in knockout games over the next ten years -

It is the next 8 year ICC TV cycle, which starts after 2023 as Donsteppa alludes above.

This is great news IMO, and from an NZ POV.
There is an ongoing power struggles for control of the ICC. The 'internationalists' have wrested control again from the 'Big3' and reinstated trying to have one ICC tournament every year to produce centralised ICC revenue (and for votes).
Centralised ICC revenue is the better option for all but the Big 3. This is great for NZ.
From a cricketing POV - it is the meaningless 4 years of low stakes bilateral white ball series that hold no interest for me. So having a white ball ICC tournament every year will hold my interest waaaaaay more.
It goes
Year 1: World Cup (ODIs)
Year 2: T20 world cup
Year 3: Chamopins Trophy (ODIs)
Year 4: T20 world Cup
then repeat -

Jeez - that guy must be trolling? Just about all of those marks are way harsh for everyone. For a team that made the final. I'd hate to see what he'd give the Indians!
Virat Kohli 0.
Incidentally here's our table of stats for the tournament.
