Rams first pick in the draft will be in the 5th round... If they don't trade that away too.
I like it - good to see different models than just 'stockpile picks'. Belichek loved lower round pick, thought that was where the value was. Trading down is a thing that can work -- this is taken to the extreme, going to the free market and picking up people replaced by drafted folk i guess!
-
From memory even first round picks have about a 50% bust rate. It's pretty understandable why the rams have gone this route.
The real value of a draft pick is the cost control and the rams have done well to find decent late round picks who can contribute and allow them flexibilty.

fucking devastated Von is gone. I understand it, but i'm devastated
Rams defense is loaded with scary people.
Henry being out fucks the Titans. AP is not going to fill that hole

... and the Titans screwed up Seahawks, Colts, Chiefs and Bills. They don't win those without Henry I reckon.
Fark, what a loss. Loved watching him play. Hopign he comes back strong next year - if it's only a foot, hopefully no lasting effects.
-
@kiwimurph he's so fucked
travelling ridiculously fast, double the legal limit, loaded gun in the car
fucked. good riddance

It's fucked. Everything about it.
Can't remember an athlete in his prime throwing his career away in such a reckless, careless way. Aaron Hernandez I suppose.
He should do 10+ years in prison.
Jarryd Hayne says hi.
-
Yeah it's really sad for everyone involved. Young guys making terrible decisions isn't new but you do wonder how much the raiders were supporting him. He's a young guy who will have lived a pretty structured and regimented life in college suddenly living in Vegas with about $10m in the bank.
None of that excuses what he has done and I don't blame the raiders, but I do hope that internally they reflect on whether they're doing everything they can to support rookies on what must be the biggest overnight change in any career.

Aaron Rodgers tests positive for Covid19, and is revealed to be unvaccinated. He's hurt his team badly by having to stand down for 10 days. Along with Newton and Cousins among others, these rich QBs are bad team mates setting a bad example to the rest of their organisations

My issue is him misleading the public in his conference where they asked if he was vaccinated, and he replied that yes, he is fully immunised.
At least Kyrie had the balls to speak his truth.

yeah "fully immunised"
he just missed the "with essential oils and fairy dust"
Rodgers is a shit teammate. Fucking great QB though. This has torched GBs season.

His choice. But it's a labour issue and he knowingly didn't do what he was supposed to do. At least he could have the guts to fess up from the start and take the consequences

The Packers should also be held accountable. They knew his status, and let him break protocols for unvaccinated players, for half the season.
Rodgers should get a suspension, and the Packers should face fines or lose draft picks.
This might hurt the Packers even next season. Can't see Rodgers doing a revenge tour ala Brady.
-
this is the craziest fucking season.
Two weeks ago the Bengals were top of the Conference, they are now last in their division.
The Broncos, who are shit, hammered teh Cowboys, who previously were good
The Bill lost to the fucking JagsUnless they all beat the piss out of each other, i can't see the NFC qualifier losing the Superbowl.
-
Yesterday I couldn't see this Bills losing to the Jags! Long way to go to the Superbowl.
Fun day though. Packers look to be well and truly stuffed without Rodgers. Off-season will be fun to see where they go.

Shanahan is on the hot seat for the 49ers. What a fall from grace for him - two years ago he was seen as a genius coach. 49ers are constantly sloppy and ill prepared - fumbles, penalties, bad tackling etc. Also add in some very questionable personnel decisions (Kyle is effectively the GM as well).
I've been on the bandwagon of excuse making for the 49ers before this season - there's no more excuses. They just got their ass handed to them by Colt McCoy.
A coaching record of 32-40 after 5 seasons where Kyle has pretty much full control of everything.
There are serious question marks over whether Shanahan is the best coach to develop Lance.
Having said all that - I can't see the 49ers ownership firing Shanahan this season.
