Southland v Northland

Is this 2 bonus point system still in use? It shows us a point ahead of Southland.
The decision to take a quick tap at end was inspired. We need Taranaki to win by more than 7 and not concede 4 tries and we earn 😀 a spot in the semis. Nothing ever seemed so hollow.

Yeah the right to get spanked a further time this season

We are always good for 1 or 2 games a season. So we possibly have another in us.

Yeah our tactics are pretty shit all round, I expect some of the poor decisions being made are through lack of confidence, in both the players around them and fatigue given how unfit some of our players are.
Hawkins sets our attack far too deep and then our passing slow and targets almost static....so when we have done 3 passes we are over 10m behind where we started...meaning setting targets for our forwards over the gain line, they will always be a split second slower having to adjust after they get up and start toward the gain line...assuming we aren't setting targets well behind, in which case our forwards are too slow 😀

Northland is actually behind Southland on the points table as they (Southland) hadn't been given their full points for the cancelled games against NH, CM and Auckland.
The Southland Stags could book a semifinal berth as early as Wednesday night if everything unfolds in its favour.
Southland's bonus-point 37-33 win over Northland on Saturday has pushed the Stags into fourth spot in the championship standings with 13 competition points.
Many points tables being circulated has Southland fifth with nine competition points, one point behind Northland.
However, Stags coach Dale MacLeod confirmed his team was fourth, one point ahead of Northland on 12. “I’ve made sure that is correct, I’ve gone to NZ Rugby on two occasions and the table has been sent to us,” MacLeod said.

@bovidae yeah they get 6 and we only get 4 as we weren't down to play Auckland.
Doesn't bother me much, we don't deserve to make it, and in not making it I hope it puts the blow torch on our coaches...but not holding my breath; covid handing out free passes.

The whole thing is a shambles - you can’t tell the scheduled games and the points are screwed up.
Northland deserve to finish last.
