You fuckers all better get jabbed. I'm practically dead already 81/100!!!
I think I'll go and have a lie down.
You win! I'm at 58.
Were you white British or white Irish? I am 57 out of 100. I chose White British but prolly should have gone Irish given my name
My european history goes back to Fife in Scotland (I have some Irish too, but more Scottish). Aunt did a family tree and it goes pretty far back (for a NZer), interesting to see how the name changed over time.

I got 27. To hell with this virus it's time to go out and party.

I'm 1 in 2415, so you'll die before me.
But 81/100 too.

@kirwan So total cases of 4.704 and 303 have had to to go hospital - so that's around 6% raw data. Then you have 19 in ICU. So that's 0.4% of known infections go into ICU or 1 in 250.
Two things not known on the above. Estimated diagnosis rate - remember this goes right back to the start, when testing was extremely limited, and then what hospitalisation means. Does this include those who visited a doctor? Or just this admitted for at least a night.
Kirwan's maths was on the section on the current outbreak. Which is almost 10% hospitalisations rate, which they've broken down by their vax status at time of infection.
Your maths is on the total numbers since day 1 in 2020. Which hasn't been broken down by vax status.

I know what Kirwan said and what I said.
Delta maybe a shit, but it doesnโt put 13% of ppl in hospital.

@donsteppa I'd say my BMI doesnt help me...and being other white living in NOrthland
-
So eliminating asthma and I went from 1 - 2387 to 1 - 2467.
Moving my BMI takes it to 1 - 2857 and I drop 5 whole point to 79/100
Take 20 years of my age and it goes to 1 - 33333 and 49.
I'm doomed. Lifestyle choices make fuck all difference it's that fucker Father Time that gets you

Yep. I had no underlying stuff other than age so assume that is a major contributor

@hooroo announcement today, for 2359 tomorrow....same for Northland.
I'm off for a swab at 1pm, just in case we are level 3 when school starts back. I think this is my fourth, but at least as it is only surveillance I don't have to isolate.
You asked earlier about the mandated vaccines, heaps (most developed world) has done it to various roles. Aussie, USA, UK, etc. And it had already been rolled out here in NZ for border workers etc. They have been tested in court and dismissed, is pretty ironclad. Get vaxxed, or get a new job for the education sector. There is just about no room for non contact staff. Makes it easy for boards and principals (and health bosses), they have no choice, is law. The tricky thing will be other, non mandated, business trying to mandated vaccines via healthy and safety laws Vs bill of rights.

The calculator on here offers a cool look at your individual risk factor based on population data
Didn't ask if you're fully immunised? That'll make a massive difference to 1 in 23256

Yep, although the Health and Safety in the Workplace Act also comes into play for employers too, so it is def a bit tricky at present.
Yeah I realised we had mandated some, but I didnt realise the extent some countries had gone, although I saw this morning Texas has said employers cannot make it mandatory

The absolute risk of a COVID-19 associated death is 1 in 19231. This is in rank 56 out of 100, where 100 is most at risk.
Dropping 10kg makes one point of difference. I'll just accept I'm no longer a 27 year old.

never, never accept it!
My mind and body are always at odds, mind always says lets do it, body just says 'told you so'

Apparently if you're 100 years old, morbidly obese and have every possible thing wrong with you, then you're guaranteed to die.
I would have thought the fact you managed to stay alive with literally everything wrong with you would have suggested covid wouldn't be able to kill you either.
