    I watched most of this game. It wasn't so much a game of two halves, but a game of three periods. St Pat's had an early 19-0 advantage and then Scots came back to take a handy lead themselves, only for St Pat's to score 2 late tries. A conversion after 70 mins tied it up so they share the title.

    There are a couple of great individual tries in this game. I didn't see the start of the match but there was Crosby's try within the first 30 secs and then the replacement Fijian winger for Scots in the 2nd half.

    @Stargazer

    I read that Feilding High School played Scots College yesterday in the Hurricanes Rugby Youth Council Co-Ed Cup final. No idea who won.

    @bovidae I'm waiting for confirmation, but I've heard that - as expected - Scots won this game easily. Something like over 40 points to under 10 points kind of score.

    Who says throwing money at something doesn't achieve much?

    Scots were a non-entity in schools rugby until they opened the chequebook. That's not to say they didn't have any models to follow.

    Scots won 44-7. So if the Top 4 was going ahead they would be playing in the Co-Ed competition.

    And Manukura beat St Mary's (19 - 12) on Wednesday, so if the Top 4 was going ahead, Manukura would have repped the Hurricanes region in the girls' comp.

    Probsbly should be in a 2022 thread but Auckland 1A are mandating players, coaches, and management are to be double Vax for 2022. Fucking well done for taking the lead

    Pay walled but you get the point

    School Rugby, Sport, Rugby

    No jab, no play: Auckland schools agree to vaccine mandate for First XV comp

    No jab, no play: Auckland schools agree to vaccine mandate for First XV comp

    Schools say parents and pupils want to be playing in a safe environment.
