NBA 2015/16 thread

Big statement from the Cavs, just steamrolling Atlanta. Had 74 at half time, and have currently dropped 22 threes at 65% with 4mins left in the 3rd - already a playoff record for most 3s in a game.

Who said the Cavs can't play small ball...
-

It's been funny reading and watching some of the debate about that final 13 seconds including the incident between the woman and Adams. Did the woman hold on to Adams too long? Was she just trying to regain balance after Adams collided with her? Did Adams overreact? Did the guy standing next to her (boyfriend/husband?) do enough to help her?

Looking forward to tomorrow.
-

They have a number of good options to play that small ball.

Kyrie, JR, Lebron, Love with one of Iman, Deli or Jefferson is probably what we'll see down the stretch in the big games here on in.
-

Westbrook hit a couple of big shots but his and Durant's 10+ combined turnovers killed OKC. Westbrook had a go at Adams over a defensive lapse tonight.

Spurs just need to do what they do, rotate the ball and play intelligent bball, and OKC will implode.
-

Westbrook was the player who was guilty of not rotating on defence and failing to get back on Spurs' fast breaks after missing layups.

That was an enjoyable game to watch but the Spurs just have too much experience and depth. Duncan played only 14 mins but it didn't matter. Kawhi Leonard is a superstar now.

Meanwhile the Cavs seem to think they're the Warriors by hitting 20+ 3-pters in consecutive games - a NBA record.
-

Blazers got hot yesterday to knock off the Warriors. I think Curry will be back next game and I can't see them losing again.

Cavs edged the Hawks to win in 4. All of a sudden they are looking like favourites to take the title given they face a fairly easy next opponent while the Western Conference finals is likely to be a battle for the ages.

Spurs leading by 8 at halftime in game 4. If they take this one then it's goodnight nurse, for the series itself and possibly OKC in their current form.
-

According ESPN Adams has 12 points and 6 rebounds in the first half. Pretty good statistically for him.

Any Aussie based ferners know if Fox will be showing the Conference finals and the finals proper? I can't find any reference to it.
-

Yeah they should be on ESPN.
-

Bloody hell... OKC seem to have reversed the narrative that thye crash in 4th quarters.,.. demolished the Spurs 34-16 in the 4th to claim a win.

Spurs have homecourt advantage.. but that hasnt meant as much as thought in this series.. and Durant has hit some form.. could be all on in games 5.. 6 and maybe 7!
-

16 points and 11 rebounds for Adams.

-

Loved what KD was doing in this game. He was extremely aggressive going to the basket and not just settling for the jumper. He and Kanter really sparked that 4th quarter turnaround.

Not that they shoot a heap of them, but Spurs couldn't get their 3 point game going tonight, Kawhi included. It was a better defensive effort to close out the game. Adams was excellent, He's playing big time minutes now.
-

and it is that attitude and approach as much as his playing ability that has added to his value. I was reading the other day how OKC see him as a 'lifer' and would like to see him as a stalwart of their team. They love the way the fans have taken to him and how his no bullshit approach has rubbed off on team mates. It's like they haven't had a player before that hasn't been all about himself.

If they want him they will pay.
-
Yeah, I'm seriously considered changing to be a thunder supporter. I've spent lots of time in both Texas and Oklahoma but would have never dreamed of putting the Mavs as my second team after supporting them since 94. However, it's getting a bit too hard not to support this guy, even against Dallas.

Remember me? Says Steph Curry. Drops 40 including 17 in OT
