just going through the results, a lot of week one winners become week 2 losers.
One weird thing that sticks out at me after 2 weeks, the Sam Darnold the Panthers signed is clearly not the one who formerly played at the Jets. Huge numbers through 2 weeks.
-
@mariner4life Week 1 always has weird results when you look back at the end of the season. The Jags last year got their only win in Week 1.
Huge result for the Titans - a comeback victory on the road in Seattle. Derrick Henry is a monster.

and my boy Julio with some pretty handy numbers too

@dice They put up a stat in game that said Brady and the Bucs currently have 9 consecutive wins scoring 30+ points. Previous record was 8 wins (twice), held by Brady and the Pats in 2007 and 2010-2011.
Considering the Bucs secondary, they will have to score 30+ to win games this year.
Their streak will be put to the test next week, up against the Rams. Should be a banger.Glad to see Action Jackson finally get the W against Mahomes. With the Chiefs going down to the Ravens, Nick Wright will finally stfu about the Chiefs going 20-0 this year.

Watching the Chargers v the Cowboys. Wildly entertaining game, flags everywhere
Herbert has an actual cannon for an arm. Some of the throws he is making are scarcely believable
-
@mariner4life Dolphins passing on him for Tua. That's gotta sting.
-
Some very interesting results today.
Rams put their flag in the ground as the best NFC team by comfortably beating the Bucs. Perhaps the biggest/best game of Stafford's career.
The Steelers look shot.
Rookie QBs struggling all over the place.
The Chiefs are dead last in their division (which looks the best division in football)
Lions lose in a very Lions way - giving up 4th and 19 and then conceding the longest field goal in NFL history (66 yards) as time expires (which hit the cross bar and went over)
-
@kiwimurph came to post almost all of this
Stafford a great pick up for the Rams, and they look legit.
Shit year to be a rookie QB. And so many teams have them
AFC West is weird. Chiefs last with 1-2, beaten by the Chargers this week. Raiders are 3-0. So are the Broncos, but we've played 3 of the worst teams in the league, if not the 3 worst.
The whole season looks pretty open in the early stages. So probably Tom Brady wins the Superbowl

Stafford must be stoked to be away from that Lions dumpster fire and into a legit team

also Roethlisburger is cooked and should never have come back
-
SoFi Stadium is so fucking cool

The Bucs secondary are banged up, so no surprises Stafford had a good game. I think I saw Devin White playing CB lol
What are the odds the Bucs will find money to sign Sherman?Rams definitely the favourites now.
Chiefs and Bucs won't be too worried though. Bucs had so many players out, who will highly likely be back for the playoffs, and the Chiefs won't be turning the ball over like that every game.
The Seahawks will be extremely worried though. Currently 1-2 and they haven't played a division game. They have the 9ers and Rams next, RIP.
PS: The stadium looked like something from a movie.

Terrific game Packers vs 49ers.
49ers are a decent team but they aren't as good as the 2019 team.
The defence is weaker. They conceded a bunch of penalties that cost them the game. Rodgers showed why he is one of the greats, pulled out the win at the death

Sounded fun.
I watched the Chiefs (Mahomes played pretty well - receivers dropped a shedload of ball), and then the absolute grudge match Steelers Bengals. Was good fun - just two teams that hate each other bludgeoning each other. Big Ben looks cooked - some great throws, but a bunch of rubbish as well, and no mobility.
This season looks very open all of a sudden. Hard to pick obvious SB contendors.

a win at the death? The Packers were behind on the scoreboard for like 30 seconds. And in all honesty, you give Rodgers 40-odd seconds to get a field goal i reckon he gets it 9 times out of 10.
Watched the whole of the Rams v Bucs game, it was bloody good. Stafford didn't start well, but once he got going was excellent (as mentioned in commentary, he wouldn't be used to such high-interest games, especially in round 3!).
Brady is still the fucking man though, it looked for a while like he was going to be able to do it. But his go to is still Gronk, and Gronk runs like he's 55 all of a sudden.
Both teams will be there at the pointy end.

Well they did win at the death, after the 9ers almost stole it from them....
