Yesterday the comms were like 'it's late in the day, been a few beers drunk' or something to that effect

It was really bad in the late afternoon yesterday. Just watched for a little bit this afternoon and the crowd seemed better behaved. I don't mind parochialism. But there is a degree of courtesy you expect in golf

@tim yeah I can deal with noise, but typical boorish US fans...USA, USA chants...they even like Bryson today!
I agree with the disrespect in the players backswing but otherwise it is the Ryder Cup so I’m sure the Euros are equally as vocal. No more boorish than hearing the Haka ad nauseam.

@taniwharugby true but they do it everywhere else. It loses it luster, at least for this foreign Kiwi.

@broughie oh I agree but I think US fans (at least in golf) have always been louder than other fans, but cheering and stuff is better than the old polite golf clap.
As long as it is respectful but I am old school.

The scoreline really went according to world rankings. Europe have 4 in the top 20, Rahm at 1, Hovland 14, McIlroy 15, Hatton 19.
The USA team was 2,3,4,5,6,7,9,10,11,13,16,21. So 10 of the 12 players are higher than all but 1 in the opposition.
Give them home advantage and a course that suits their superior power and 19-9 seems about right as a margin of victory.

I tried all weekend to get excited about a comeback but after the first morning you could tell it was going to be a runaway victory.
Loooove the emotion McIlroy showed in his interview. Full of tears. It really does appear to mean a lot to the Euros!

It will really hurt as they have been competitive even when losing in recent times. This result goes back to the bad old days of Ryder Cup when it was USA v UK and the UK stood no chance.

Watched an absolute ton of it - quiet weekend for me battling a small virus (not Covid) and marathon next weekend, so what else was there to do .
Bloody loved it. Was great watching. Justin Thomas aside, all the players came off really well - even Bryson. He had the crowd on his side for the first time in his life, so he let his hair down a bit. Comes across quite well. On one hole he put the driver away for a 3 wood, the crowd got a bit upset at that ... he told them - "calm down folks, I'm still going for the green" to huge cheers.
I loved the raucousness of the crowd. Makes for a completely different atmosphere. You wouldn't see that here, but that doesn't make here right, and there wrong. No mistake, I think I'd rather watch a RC in US than in UK.
A great event, despite the one sidedness of it.
As Kiwi Pie said, it played to rankings. Should be end of the road for Poulter and Westwood. Both won their singles, but lost when it mattered. Rory was way off too, but he's still young enough to justify his spots for years to come. Rahm & Garcia were awesome together, but not great on their own.
And fair play to Dustin, getting the hallowed 5-0-0.

Anyone bored, Long Drive Comp...some amusing comments, plenty trolling Bryson

Been watching some of the PNC Championship with Tiger and Charlie Woods, damn that kid is good!
Was one hole where Tiger missed the green on a par 3 and the camera was on Charlie and he rolls his eyes...knock it to 15 FT, holes it!
Great to see Tiger back, even if he aint 100%.
