Also, even weirder than Rodgers wanting out, i saw a post that Tim Tebow will head to the Jags. As a tightend. Now, i reckon he should have pivoted to TW as soon as it became apparent he wasn't going to make it as a QB. Big guy, good feet. But that was 10 years ago! How come Kap can't get a gig again?
aaaaaand Tebow has been cut by the Jags.
Teams only have to cut down to 85 players this week. They have to cut down to 53 for the season.
So Tebow didn't make the 85. In other words - he didn't even get close.
Shocking I know

Sideshow over. Meyer loves Tim so much, maybe Tebow said no mas after his preseason performance

@canefan it's also obvious they are using preseason as an opportunity to teach and coach him - they aren't making it easy on him - they are forcing him to hang in the pocket and read/throw - obviously they think he can handle it and that in the long run it will be good for his development. They aren't giving away packages that they will use Lance in during the regular season as initially a package/gadget QB on specific plays (QB runs, moving the pocket etc).
Whilst I understand the idea of easing Lance in, the reality is sooner or later he's going to have to start and he's only going to learn so much by standing on the sidelines/playing gadget plays

I'm happy to see him sit and hold the clipboard for a while. Like Brady and Rodgers

@canefan it's going to be interesting to watch - Jimmy G will be a on a fairly short leash but starting Jimmy G then moving to Lance if needed is much cleaner than starting Lance and then having to bench him if he struggles.
Not good for either man. If Lance is the future you can afford to let him develop carefully with Jimmy in the driver's seat

Bit of a tough outing against the saints for Lawrence.
Only preseason but Wilson looking the pick of the QBs so far. I think Lawrence might be the only one to have played against first teamers though since the Packers held back their starters vs the jets.
Looking like day one starts for Lawrence and Wilson with the other three backing up (although Mac Jones might get past Newton with a really strong week three performance).
Can't wait for the regular season to see how this QB class goes.
I see Josh Rosen has been cut by the 49ers, which shows how fast you can go from stud to nobody.

and signed by the Falcons.
He has been on a lot of teams already (Cardinals, Dolphins, Bucs, 49ers and now Falcons and I might even be missing some).

@shark surely that can't be right.
I was weighing up Spark vs Sky for NFL - not sure who has it, but Spark has much better delayed starts and fast forwards
Why not have both? Cunning that they don't screen the same games
-
@cyclops somewhat tempting. I like watching Monday afternoon, Tuesday afternoon and Friday afternoon NFL, it's very family friendly.
Being able to choose games is good too.
May pick it up this year. I do like the NCAA FBS though, it's fun to watch. Needs ESPN, which bundles with sky

@cyclops I see it as$199usd rather than 110nzd. Am I missing something?
Sorry, it must have gone up since I last checked it. Bugger.
looks like if you VPN to another location, it's more like 75USD...
