Yep, looks like they have Super rugby, but that's it.

I don't see why the NZRU aren't providing a streaming service for NPC.

It's fucking annoying as I'd happily pay.

@gt12 No surprise that Sky have run another service into the ground.

Like every year, the 2021 edition of the NPC is revealing a number of new talents.
Among these, I would name the Manawatu Turbos loose trio. Of course, they are not new on the scene but new as emerging talents. They are not strangers to the Turbos' good start of the campaign.
Tremain is in the same case. He is physical and is quick for a man of his size. He and TK Howden are athletic and could become All Blacks one day.
Kini Naholo is looking more and more like his elder brother. Fast and strong.
The BOP left wing looks promising too.
Cortez Ratima was excellent last Saturday. His passing looks quicker than Roe's. Another one for the future.
However, still no great find at THP which is a worry for NZ rugby.

    Throwback Thursdays:

Pretty sure this is from the 2004 NPC Final. I watched it the other night.

Dan Carter was playing fullback in that match and looked pretty good there.

@dice Another one of those finals that Wellington lost…you think we’d be used to the choking by now.

Level 2 for another week so a limited crowd capacity for the games this round.

@bovidae That's a pity, for the people who'd love to come to the games and the unions. The Ranfurly Shield Battle of the Bays would have been a sell-out.

Anyone know how this works? I know it says 100 people but can they do groups of 100 within a large stadium?

IIRC they created 5 bubbles of 100 people at the Chiefs-Highlanders game under L2. I believe each bubble had to enter via a specific gate and were seated in different sections of the stadium.

For the Waikato-Canterbury game, all I know if that there will be no public sales and only season ticket holders will be able to go. But I assume there will be a similar crowd limit. The complication is that not all of the stadium is opened for NPC games.

Yeah I don't think they'll put the effort into doing that for NPC, a lot of costs to implement. Would not make a profit, all the extra staff to organise public etc

@machpants I think last time it was mainly sponsors who were still able to go, that way it was easier to keep track of people.
