No power in these kicks.
-
Another save for the Swedish keeper. Fairly easy to pick that one off.
-
Fresh air! Missed it completely.
-
They could run out of kickers. Has that happened before?
-
Cool as a cool thing. Canada nails the pressure 5th penalty to tie it.
-
The pressure is getting to these girls big time.
Canadian keeper saves another.
Now Canada can win the gold here.
-
Oh Canada!!! They get the gold.

Hahaha women's soccer is shit.

@nostrildamus I was referring to the Latvian javelin thrower in the final. Her name is Madara Palameika.

The last 15 mins of ET was more exciting than the penalty shootout. The Swedes were all over Canada and had their chances. I reckon there was only about 2 decent penalties across both teams in the shootout. The last pen was a poor effort too.

The final around of the ladies golf will start an hour earlier and off two tees in order to get it all done without being too impeded by the weather
Lydia is the last group off 1 with Nellie Korda and Aditi Ashok at 8.18am Nz time. Great chance of a medal if she plays as well as last two days. Let’s go Lydia!

She smashed the front 9 two days ago then the back nine yesterday. Needs to join the two together.

May have been posted earlier, but just reading Nick Willis ran the fastest ever 1500 metre time by a 38 year old in his semi.

Seriously, how do you screw up a baton change at this level?
The higher the level, the faster you're going, so the less room for error.
You see far fewer baton change fuck ups at club/amateur level, simply because they're moving much slower.

Early in the final round and Lyds is playing well, tied in bronze position with a birdie putt to come. I haven't been paying much attention but the comms think that if she had putted better she would be even better placed. Tee to green this hole has been precise
