So even longer with no rugby? They don't train with the squad - fuck that sucks?

Being a Sunday game I guess our team may not get named until Friday, but of the below squad we could probably field the following 23:

Liam Allen, Cameron Bailey, Finlay Brewis, George Bridge, Fergus Burke, Tom Christie, Sam Darry, Jack Debreczeni, Luke Donaldson, Mitchell Drummond, Mitchell Dunshea, Braydon Ennor, Chay Fihaki, Zach Gallagher, Mitchell Gibson, Cullen Grace, Billy Harmon, Oliver Jager, Jono Kitto, Shilo Klein, Daniel Lienert-Brown, Manasa Mataele, Brodie McAlister, Josh McKay, Dallas McLeod, Richie Mo’unga, Joe Moody, Waisake Naholo, Fletcher Newell, Conan O’Donnell, Rameka Pohipi, Isaiah Punivai, Ngatungane Punivai, Luke Romano, Sam Stewart, Henry Stowers, Codie Taylor, Sam Whitelock, Tamaiti Williams

    1 Leinert Brown
    2 McAlister
    3 Williams
    4 Romano
    5 Darry
6 Prinsep (oddly missing from the squad list)
    7 Harmon
    8 Grace
    9 Drummond
    10 Burke
    12 McLeod
    13 N Punivai
    11 Mataele
    14 Naholo
    15 McKay

    Brewis
    Newell
    Klein
    Gallagher
    Gibson or Allen
    Donaldson
    Debreczeni
    I Punivai

Tamaiti Williams has been playing on the LH side lately. I'll go with Jager as a TH.

TAB have AKL $1.62 Canterbury $2.20

Home advantage I guess. Such a tough start to the comp for Auckland - 4 roudns will be decisive. Can't afford to get off to a slow start

Interesting that Auckland have already gone outside their squad for a prop.

Those odds look the wrong way around.

Pleased to see Evans at 12.

I assume Auckland followed HIA protocols with Zarn after the match last week clearing him but I still cannot believe they left him out there last week.

One of the hardest head clashes I've seen in a long while

Pretty inexperienced bench. But I am pleased with this line up with an interesting combo in midfield (Evans - Heem).

Yeah that's going to be interesting, is the younger one better or not.

@chris I've seen Mitch play for HSOB down here and they have very similar styles. Both very physical 7s that throw themselves into everything both in attack and defense.

Sadly Mitch Gibson that day got outshone by his opposite Bill Harmon. Hope for his sake his body holds up a bit better than his brothers especially with the style he plays.
