Path for the Warriors has improved today, though, with Chris Paul fracturing his hand against the Blazers. Series is now 2-2 and the Clippers are in strife- they rely on CP3 far more than the Warriors do Curry.

The Clips just can't catch a break. The Warriors finally falter only for LA's best player to go down with a season ending injury

I am cheering for the Blazers anyway so am hopeful they can move on now. Amazing story if they do given they lost 4 of their starting 5 from last season. Dame and CJ are in the top 3 backcourts in the NBA.

Blake now out for the post-season as well. Blazers now solid favourites to advance... what a season they've had.

And they are so likeable. Lillard seems like a great guy.

Le Marcus who?

I have a couple of mates that are mad followers of Weber State and couldn't speak more highly of Lillard. Yes he was a great scorer but it was the way he carried himself. Yes he had a point to prove and played with that chip on his shoulder because the big schools and conferences overlooked him, but that didn't affect how he was around campus and the city.

Just caught up with that Raptors v Pacers game 5. Wow, Pacers got locked down in that 4th quarter. Raptors picked up defensively and hit some big shots. Started the qtr with a 15-2 run.

Raptor fans were booing in the first half with their team down 15. DeRozan stepped it up a gear after what's been a disappointing series so far.

Raptors lead 3-2.

I was the same, after 3 quarters I stopped following it. Quite shocked to see the result.

All the 'contenders' out east are being proven to be pretenders, except the Cavs

Haha, yeah Simmons grates. I stopped watching and reading his stuff a few years ago. I did like that segment with him a Jalen Rose 'get dem cheques'

I like Isaiah Thomas and coach Brad Stevens, but the Hawks are a good side with Shroeder playing more and more minutes.

Really? I'm a big fan of Simmons. Enjoy his perspective, though I can see how his style could grate people.

He is a narrative journalist to the highest degree, he decides on a narrative and then just bangs on and on, even when contrary views are raised and even proven. He is really just a click bait troll. Now.. it could be argued most journos are nowadays. But he is worse than most. Simmons continued preaching and willful ignorance around the Harden trade grates.

I quite like Zach Lowe.... who is really tight with Simmons

I'm not sure that description is apt, given he no longer writes. And when he did it was long-form, 2k words stuff, so I'm not sure it's exactly 'click bait'.

He does take controversial views though, seemingly for the sake of them. But I don't mind that. I enjoy his podcast, now he's branching out and getting guys like Louis CK in addition to his usual cast of pundits/mates/players.

It does not need to be short to be click bait. Rattue and Reason write plenty long enough articles, and they def just write click bait IMO

Harden refuses to put his body on the line and Howard was the most overrated player of the last 5 years. Now hes just shit and no one rates him.

I have to have a little more faith in OKC. They did well in their series and look very strong heading against the Spurs. Leonard is some kind of awesome though. It'll be a tough series. SA have an outstanding bench of role players and The Big Fundamental saves his best for the playoff. Should be a great series. Im going to stick my neck out and say OKC in 7.

Luke Walton has agreed to be the next coach of the Lakers. A good hire, hopefully they allow him time to turn things around because he hasn't got a chance of the play-offs for the foreseeable future unless they make a splash in free agency

Well they'll have money now that Kobe's max contract is out of the picture....

KD is a target and with Walton moving could he lure Harrison Barnes and Festus to come as well?
