@williethewaiter I'm sure they'll be looking for a way to give it to the Danes - because basically the race was all over.
But, they'll have to find a rule to let them - and they may not have one.
Logically, it's pretty hard to see how the fourth British rider - who has been clearly caught - can come back into play as the third rider.
He can only end up running interference, which is exactly what happened

not if the catch rule doesn't apply.. cause you're still faster at the end of the race than the bloke laying on the ground.
#ClassicBradbury if it happens.I mean I know the Danes were winning but as a track cyclist you constantly have it banged into you to be aware of were other riders are on the track so don't have a lot of sympathy for them.
ah yeh other point you're trained to stay down if you're getting passed so Pom not at fault in any way.

Just saw the last bit of the cycling. So the NZ men finished 7th and women finished 8th in the team pursuit?
I've no idea where they sit in the field, but it doesn't sound too great.
Now cheering for the Dutch in the men's team sprint ...
I think your mixing up team pursuit with team sprint.

Comms saying the team pursuit decision is still pending. Might be a long wait
UCI have tweeted that Denmark win, ages ago. 25 mins ago.
But apparently still nothing in the Olympic results.
So ... maybe still someone appealing.

Tweeted but not on their website. And do they make the decision or Olympic officials?

Yep.
Women 8th in team pursuit.
Men 7th in team sprint. -

That was the third British rider - who crashed.
But, the fourth guy had already been caught, so I don't see how he could come back and be counted.
Unless - as WtW is contemplating - the catch rule doesn't apply.
But, I think it does.
I reckon Rapido's intel will be right and the Danes will go through.
-
“Chris Boardman said on the BBC that he believed the Danes had won as they had caught the rearmost GB rider just before they crashed, hence they won the race. You don’t have to finish the 4k if you catch the team in front.”
From guardian blog.
Way I understand, Danes won but got disqualified for causing crash. But appealed that they already won.
Do you have to entirely pass rider or just edge a bit in front of their back wheel.

@machpants UCI
but I don't see anything on their twitter
scanning the rules - the catch rule applies so Denmark should be thru. But their job to stay out of the way.
But Poms could appeal for dangerous riding taking their team out..

Fucking hell can't someone get Rassie on the line to stitch a video together?

If the race had been called over there would never have been a collision in the first place....

Hubbard fails to complete a single lift in the snatch.
Huh? I just watched her lift 125? Wasn't that the snatch?
Edit- Did it not count, I see she's not on the leaderboard
Yeah too much arm wobble. Should have challenged it.
Bloody hell. What a lot of angst for nothing in the end, you have to laugh 😂
The issue is Hubbard took a female's position at the games.
Ironically the biological male is probably the most female looking of the lot.
Great Silver for Emily Campbell GB
Tremendous Olympic Record for Li Wen Wen of China
That’s a whole lot of women.
Either that or something manufactured in a lab somewhere. Christ on a bike she certainly ain’t no beach volley baller that’s for sure.
But as Campbell showed in the footwork for her PB Clean & Jerk and Sumo wrestlers show all the time they’re built for purpose.
Supremely athletic with the bulk to compete.
The worrying thing is there are too many Emily Campbells in the general UK populace who can barely lift themselves off the couch let alone lift a barbell.
When they interviewed Campbell’s Mum and sister they were normal sized women. Emily will scale down once her career is over.
