Where was the clear release? It won't make a difference to the outcome, but the refereeing is of the same shit standard we saw in the men's comp.

TBH I wouldn't award that try. Hardly "immediate"

Another error - she can't be "holding" if she releases then gets back to her feet.

At least Amy Perrett might be able to rescue this shemozzle

Yeah, the one prior to the try. Looked like a ball and all tackle. At least the tackler stayed on her feet, but I didn't see a release.

There is a lot of calls against the attacking team at ruck time I've noticed - ruck formed particularly. I know 7s is a bit sharper on defenders jackaling but really, once a ruck is formed it should be hands off.

The Russians are first on the board. GB may struggle against this side. 5 - 0 ROC

Lot of ball in play that half. Glad I'm sitting here in Covidia instead of sweating my arse off over there.

Oh fuck that was a line call - red player on the ground, blue player on her feet. Red releases and counted as a new tackle....

@machpants Yeah, great individual effort from the no. 7 Seredina. Not sure these women have cheated though.

Was a good run but the GB sweeper was not positioned very well out on the left edge

Yeah, probably correct but a ban should be a ban, not a slight name change, imo.

But great try there for GB, winning 14-12. Lotsa errors
