Shalfoon was in their squad last year I think. Maybe injured so didn't play?
Shalfoon and Hicks were both down here last year - and both injured during NPC.
Not sure if either was ever promoted to the main Mako squad, but they were certainly mentioned in dispatches about the locking crisis that saw us sign Isaac Ross.

@chris We should have PPP and Strange as first choices and Cirikidaveta in the mix as well.
Dunno whether Alex Ainley is still going for a run most nights?!
I have heard good things about Mat Hicks he got a run for the crusaders development team earlier this season.

@higgins Was just looking at that and was quite surprised to see his name, Holland might sign him for the Canes given his love for signing props over 30.
Props over 30, 10s under 20.
Locks under tall?

@bovidae It must be at least ten years since Irishman Michael Bent, who must be in his late 30s by now, last fronted up for Taranaki
- Refer to this article.

Another thing from that article about the Taranaki squad, is that Lisati Milo-Harris missed out as one of the halfbacks. From the Chiefs in 2020 to not being in the Naki squad a year later. Maybe a useful addition to another province's squad?
He played club rugby in Auckland & Taranaki this year. Maybe he's coming back to Auckland?

Manawatu's superb recruitment continues. Jarrad Adams has signed up.
