If the competition table on the Tribe app is correct, then it's a bit worrying that Hastings, despite having a win more than Hamilton, has only one competition point more than Hamilton. Hamilton must have earned more bonus points.
Three weeks no Super 8 now, but Napier play Feilding HS at home on 25 July (sports exchange). Their next Super 8 game is against New Plymouth (away) on 31 July.
Hastings play Tauranga at home on 31 July. Don't know about traditionals or sports exchanges.

Today, several games between Napier Boys and Feilding HS (annual rugby exchange): U14, U15, 2nd XV and 1st XV.
The 1st XV game starts at 12.30pm and will be livestreamed here: https://sideline.live/play/14855
I haven't seen a team line-up, yet.

Didn't watch the game too closely, but Napier did make it hard for themselves with sloppy passing, lots of other handling errors, and some ill-discipline. They should have easily smashed Feilding HS, but it was 17 - 12 at half time. The full time score: 29 - 12 to Napier Boys'.
Not sure what it is with Napier Boys' this season; I had higher hopes at the beginning of the season, because there are some really talented players in this squad and they looked good in preseason, but ball handling just keeps on being a problem. Maybe it's because they've lost so many players from last year and this is a very young squad, I don't know. It's pity for some of the really great talents in this team (particularly Gilgal Leutele Malasia, his brother Bethel, Lochi Mead and Gus Brown), because I'm not sure whether they'll all still be there, next year. Bethel scored a great try in this game.

Alright, I've only just watched both Super 8 games, and I've written down my comments as I would have posted them, if I'd watched the games live. Sorry, it's bit long. I've bolded the half and full time scores, so you can ignore the rest if you like.
Hastings Boys' v Tauranga Boys'
Hastings' first try is scored after 7 minutes from the pick 'n go, don't know by whom. Until then, Hastings with most of the possession, in Tauranga's half. I assume Hoera Stephenson played at 10, and his conversion was good. 7 - 0 Hastings
Passage of play where Hastings looked most threatening, playing mostly in Tauranga's half, but little errors like knock-ons and bad passes stopped them from converting their dominance into points. Tauranga never looked dangerous, not helping themselves by giving away penalties here and there. Stephenson scored a penalty goal off one of them in approx. the 20th minute. 10 - 0 Hastings
28 Minutes in, and the player who's impressed me most thus far is Pasikala (6). Just now, a great turnover. He's made a few of those already.
Hastings' scrum is also dominating Tauranga's. Tauranga also butchering several line-outs, mostly by knocking on. Unfortunately, Hastings' LH prop doesn't really have his day, he's also knocked the ball on a few times.
From about the 33rd minute, Tauranga gets the ball more, and after a Hastings' mistake, a kick at goal: 10 - 3, still to Hastings. That's the first time Tauranga have been effective in Hastings' half, where they've spent little time. The half time break is timely for Hastings
Half time: Hastings Boys' 10 - 3 Tauranga Boys'
The first few minutes of the 2nd half, and the game is again being played in Tauranga's half. They give away a penalty, and Hastings go for the line-out at 5m, the following line-out drive results in a turnover, but the Tauranga player is pushed into touch. A few phases later, Hastings score the try in the corner. Not sure who scored, but most likely one of their backs. The right winger? Stephenson can't convert from the sideline: 15 - 3 Hastings
Not sure how many, but Flanders has made a few line-out steals in this game!
A lot of urgency in Hastings' defence, forcing Tauranga to make mistakes. Unfortunately, Tauranga's defence is better than their attack and they manage to keep Hastings from scoring more points, too.
And then, seemingly out of nothing, in the 53rd minute, after a brief injury break, Hastings get the scrum feed in their half, win a scrum penalty, go for another scrum and dominates again; the ball goes to Stephenson (?), who kicks the ball into Tauranga's half, where Hastings' centre (Tupou?) catches it and passes to the left winger (?), who shows great speed and goes over for the try! The conversion is good. It's 22 - 3 to Hastings with 15 minutes to go.
It's definitely not Tauranga's day; in the 57th minute they get a line-out within Hastings' 22, but it's not straight! Scrum Hastings. Flanders goes for a run, kicks the ball into Tauranga's half, they try to run it back, but it's like running into a brick wall with Flanders' name on it and they knock on. Flanders receives some injury treatment after that and it's interesting to see who their well-known waterboy is: Sona Taumalolo! I bet he was also the one loudly yelling instructions from the sideline now and then.
Finally, in the 65th minute, it's Tauranga who puts Hastings' defence under pressure. That's for the first time in the game! Hastings also giving away some penalties as a result. Tauranga go for a line-out close to Hastings' try line, and then comes the ultimate anti-climax: the stream cuts out, about 4 minutes before full time.
I'll look at the final score after watching the Napier game ...
Napier Boys' v New Plymouth Boys'
First try to NP after almost 6 minutes, several phases after Napier lost their own line-out in their 22. 0 - 5 New Plymouth
Good re-start, with Napier recovering the ball and NP giving away a penalty in front of their posts. The kick is good. 3 - 5 NP
13th minute, a Napier line-out on NP's 5m: the camera view is blocked by the stands, but I can see the players' feet and the ref's arm goes up: try from a line-out drive to Napier! The conversion attempt from the sideline is excellent: 10 - 5 Napier.
23rd minute: Passing is still Napier's biggest work-on. Earlier a break from Napier's centre lead to nothing because he passed the ball straight into the hands of an NP player; now, after an excellent Napier scrum, no. 8 Gilgal Malasia passes the ball straight into touch. It's such a waste, because Napier is clearly the better team, but you don't see the difference on the scoreboard.
33rd minute: Napier scrum 10m into NP's half, followed by a great attack. A few phases of pick 'n go, then a pass to the left, more pick 'n go, then ... again a pass going nowhere, but NP stuff up and lose the ball over their dead-ball line (I think). Napier scrum at 5m. Good scrum, but then again a knock-on. It's been all Napier Boys', but no further score. I think I've only seen one remotely dangerous attack from NP in this half, after they scored their early try.
HT: Napier Boys' 10 - 5 New Plymouth Boys'
Oh, so close in the 2nd minute of the 2nd half. After the Napier halfback (?) kicked the ball out on the full, there was a line-out in Napier's half, but Napier stole it. A great attack followed, with the backs making many metres. Several phases of pick 'n go close to NP's try line, but then they make the wrong the decision and go wide to the left, where the winger or fullback is either pushed into touch or loses the ball (hard to see, also whether it was in-goal or not).
42nd minute: You could see this coming, another bad Napier pass, again intercepted. This time NP score the try and convert: 10 - 12 NP.
44th minute: Great attack from Napier and this time the passes stick. One of the big forwards barges over and the try is converted! 17 - 12 Napier.
56th minute: It looks like two players (one team each) have been yellow carded (I think for handbags). It's a penalty to Napier right in front of NP's posts. The kick at goal is good: 20 - 12 Napier.
I don't know why NP bother going for the line-out; they lose most of them.
60th minute: A NP player is clearly held up in a maul, but it's a penalty to NP. Couldn't see why. Another NP line-out at about 10m from Napier's tryline. They win it this time and they score. I take back my previous comment about going for a line-out. The try is converted. 20 - 19 Napier.
62nd minute: Napier's re-start is good and they re-gather the ball. NP intercept the pass, but he was clearly offside. Napier now going for a line-out. The maul doesn't work, but it doesn't matter, the ball goes to a back, who slices through the defence. Napier try! The conversion attempt is good! 27 - 19 Napier.
67th minute: some messy play in Napier's half, with the Sky Blue again losing the ball because of a bad pass. NP on attack, and Napier now giving away the penalties. The last one for holding on, and NP take the quick tap and score! The conversion attempt misses. 27 - 24 Napier
70th minute: Great attack from NP starting from their in-goal area, showing how to pass properly, but the player is finally tackled 10m into Napier's half on the touchline. Napier line-out. NP collapse the maul. All still in Napier's half. Penalty, another line-out, now in NP's half. Time's up, they kick it out!
Full time: Napier Boys' 27 - 24 New Plymouth Boys'
That's a lot closer than it should have been, based on the difference between both teams in the first half. It was a lot more even in the 2nd. I can't say much about individual players, because the camera didn't zoom in and I couldn't see jersey numbers or recognise faces.
Back to the other game: Tauranga must have scored an unconverted try after the livestream stopped, because the final score is:
Full time: Hastings Boys 22 - 8 Tauranga Boys'
The CNI game between St Peter's School (Cambridge) and St John's College finished - as expected - in a big win for St Peter's: 50 - 7.Lindisfarne College v Rathkeale College will be played on Tuesday.
