@stargazer that means Aotea will go up as they beat Pirates earlier this year. IMO Aotea are a much better side and far more physical than pirates anyway. Just worried that Clubs won't like the long bus trip and also Aotea may not have the depth required to compete in the premier divison

On the contrary, what about the trips coming back. There are a few places worth a stop to have a chin wag and ale with the locals!

@higgins absolutely, but i heard even havelock prems struggled to get squad down to Aotea this season, which is a shame. Aotea always put on a great spread/after match

@dirtydoolan Country clubs in NZ are renowned for their aftermatch spreads. I spent a year over in Wnaganui and well remember the trips to Waiouru, Hunterville, Taihape Pirates, Ratehi (won a huge trout in a raffle there that night) and the superb feeds put on. Didn't make it to Utiku OB or Ohakune as the club I followed had them at home and can't remember why I did not make it to Waverley. The final pit stop at the Bridge Tavern at Whangaheu on the way back was also another highlight, even though it was just five minutes or so short of Wanganui!

What??? Dannevirke is quick as trip. Aren't there lots of Paewai's in the Havelock team anymore?

Strange that they name IWL and Lowe on the bench. I also see that Bas Visinia is back (he's played in Manawatu and Auckland as well, this club season).

It's great to have Super players back for club rugby, but geez, I'm always afraid they get injured and won't be available for NPC!

So, the dilemma is: which of them do I go and watch?

Or should I go to Anderson Park instead, to see who wins out of Havelock North and Pirates for promotion back to Premier next year?

@number-10 Personally, I find the Hastings v Clive game the most interesting. I hope they stream that game. Unfortunately, sideline live won't do it, so depend on HBRU streaming it on FB.

HBRU will be streaming Havelock North v Napier Pirate (k/o 2:45pm) on their FB page. So @Number-10, can you pick a premiers game (preferably Hastings v Clive haha)?

By the way, Pouri Rakete-Stones is playing for Pirates. And Dad Sullivan, too.

Gareth Evans is playing for Havelock North.

    Havelock leads 8 to 0.

IWL is packing at 8 in the scrums. Hasn’t been appearing in the lineout - standing in the backline.
    Obviously planned tactic.
